basically it is just a judgement call that it makes for better game play than the alternative. What actually happens more than the insta-vote-unvote gotcha stuff is that you have annoying sniping battles right at EOD. See the Speed V+ for an example, or the end of the last champions game

whats the advantage for the wolves here? if they can snipe to win at :00 then a villager must be voting a mislynch anyway so they would have won under current rules as well

sure, but the day and interactions would play out differently until then compared to locking votes so i dont see how its "really boring" unless you just find vanilla werewolf "really boring" which is understandable

like i really dislike invitationals as concept. I like the poker-like openness that anyone can sign up and i think the best games are ones with a mix of players, whilst i worry invitationals can feel excluding and always feel a little too comfortable/stale to me.

and the ranking/mvp idea, too, i guess, although the database is a work of greatness,

also in the last couple of weeks it occurred to me a couple of times, i think on the other page you said something about people claiming seer in turbos and ended it something like 'do we approve?', which made me think who the hell is we and why do i GAF what they think, & which made me make the comment about a committee for gambits being approved/disapproved.

How about a game where any villager can "claim" before must lynch. This is like claim in bridge. The game ends immediately. The claimed lists the wolves.if he's right then the village wins. One wrong answer and the wolves won.
