Welcome to the Supernatural Mishmash! I am your host, God. Please find below my commandments.

POG Rules
Do not attack or insult other players in the game. A little bit can be overlooked; if it becomes excessive, or contravenes 2+2 site rules, then Moderator action may be taken. You should focus on attacking a persons ideas, actions or logic - not the poster as an individual. If you feel someone is crossing the line with namecalling, you should PM a POG Mod (Legend42, gtpitch, Zurvan or ElliotR) who is not currently playing in the game. Post reports should be avoided if mods are playing the game, as it may provide them additional unfair information based on who is reporting. Standard 2+2 rules violations (ie, telling someone to perish in a oily conflagration, inline nudity) can be reported with the Post Notification button.

Wagering on the game is not allowed.

2+2 Terms of Service and site rules are to be observed at all times

One account per player - you may not play in a game with multiple accounts, nor should you attempt to use a well known account to extract information from other players while you play on a gimmick account.

Basic Rules
  • No editing posts
  • No deleting posts
  • Do not copy/paste, screen shot, or otherwise post your Role PM.
  • NO DEAD POSTING OF ANY KIND
  • Any other PMs or private communication with the Game mod is not to be posted in the thread
  • Any time you have rule questions - be it general questions, or those about specific game rules - contact the Mod in private. Do not post the question in thread, and do not expect the mod to see any questions posted.
  • No communication outside the game thread with ANY other players in the game about the game, unless it is specifically allowed by your role, and only within such times as are specified in the role PM.

THERE WILL BE N0 RANDED SEER PEEKS--I just haven't sent them out yet.

Voting

Each day, each player is allowed (and encouraged) to vote to lynch a player. To do so, type the name of the player in bold; if you want to be sure the moderator sees it, you could be so kind as to write something like "vote: Zurvan", but it is not required. You may abbreviate the name of the player, provided it is clear to other players (and the moderator) whom you mean.

You may remove your vote by posting "unvote". You may change your vote simply by voting the new player; you do not need to unvote.

At the end of the scheduled game day, the player with the most votes is lynched, and his role revealed in the thread. If two or more players are tied for the most votes, one of the tied players is chosen randomly by the moderator.

Majority lynch is in effect, but can someone please notify God if it has occurred? Please?

If any player reaches majority and is lynched before 2 pm, the moderator may, at his discretion, reopen the thread for a second game day that same day. He will do so only if it seems clear that this will not unduly disadvantage either side.

The Timing

All times give are server time, which is also Eastern Standard Time.

I will open the thread every morning by posting "It is day." You may not post in the thread until I have made the morning post. DAY BEGINS AT 10:30 PM EST. END OF DAY IS 6:30 PM EST. Posting at 6:31 is OK. Posting at 6:32 is not, even if I have not yet declared it night by posting "It is night." Do not post in the thread at any time, for any reason, between the end of the day and the opening of the trhead the next morning.

Weekends are different: There is not "night" Saturday night -- the thread remains open from Saturday morning until Sunday evening. There is no scheduled Saturday night lynch.

Communication

Villagers and seers may not communicate with any other player in the game, other than by posting in this thread, unless otherwise informed. Any communication about the substance of the game (i.e., anything beyond the fact that the game is being played and that you are in it) is prohibited.

Wolves may communicate with each other by any means they desire during wolf chat.
Wolves have 24-hour chat beginning now.

Questions and Confirmation

Any questions regarding the rules should be submitted to the moderator by PM.

Participation

Werewolf is a participatory game. While it may be good strategy simply never to post, it is not fun for other players when people play that way. Accordingly, everyone is expected to participate on a regular basis.

This means that everyone is expected to post something every day, but it means more than that. Popping into the thread once a day to say "posting to avoid modkill" is an excellent way to get modkilled.

If you aren't going to be able to post at all on a given game day, tell me beforehand. Life happens; we get that. Once or twice is not an enormous problem, but if it's going to be an ongoing issue, we'll have to find you a substitute.

Angleshooting

Lying is not only allowed, it is expected.

Quoting or paraphrasing communications with or PMs from the mod is not allowed.

Player assistance with vote counts will be greatly appreciated when the moderator is not available. If you make a mistake while doing one, that's to be expected. Do not intentionally make any, though.

Posting after day has ended, whether I have called "night" or not, is not allowed.

Discussing the game outside the thread is not allowed. Sometimes this comes up when someone is in two games at once; basically, the most you can say outside this thread is that the game is going on, and so-andso was or is in it.

Posting in the thread after you're dead is not allowed, much. You may post once after you are killed, if you want, but you may not say anything substantive -- "go, village" or "take it down, wolves" are about the limit. After that, stay out of the thread; root, but root silently.

It is best if after you are dead you don't discuss the substance of the game with anyone else in the game, or even other people, until it's over.

If you are ever unsure about whether something is or is not allowed PM the game mod and ask.

Must Lynch
Once you vote, your vote is locked, and you may not switch or unvote

THE SET UP

God has decided He has had enough of the bullschtick. Using His grand omnipotence, he has transported all the key players to a massive hotel in the middle of the woods. He hopes the supernaturals will work out their differences, but knows this will be difficult. The erstwhile humans are present to represent mankind and their place in the universe. God has made it clear: Humans are his chosen children and were made to inherit the earth. This, however, does not sit well the supernaturals.

The scene opens at the bar, where players are wandering in after finding themselves in the middle of nowhere.

IT IS DAY.

I hope I'm not a miller again, but based on the wiki it's a non-zero possibility. I think the mods are just messing with me now.

Good morning.

To start, some important notes from the OP:
Quote:
THERE WILL BE N0 RANDED SEER PEEKS--
This means for those who leave seer cover, yes there is a n0 peek. Seers didn't pick their peeks, it was randed to them.

Quote:
Majority lynch is in effect, but can someone please notify God if it has occurred? Please?
This means there are almost certainly no doublevoters or votebuyers in this game.

Quote:
Wolves have 24-hour chat beginning now.
While commonly very few wolves use wolfchat (typically the night kills are done by the strongest 1-2 wolves with only minimal input from the rest of the team) we should not assume this – it is prudent to allow for the possibility of wolf shenanigans, and thus we should have clear wagons with a reasonable amount of time before day so as to minimise the benefit wolf collusion can have in EOD voting frenzies.

Now, a little bit of mechanics:
The most standard mishmash village power roles are the following:
Seer(s) (can be odd night, even night, every night, once-off, sometimes conditional)
Seers should leave their peeks in a clear fashion – if you do not typically seer cover just make sure your villa peeks are your strongest villa leans and your wolf peeks are your strongest wolf leans. Seers should in the early stages of the game (night 1, 2) try and peek players who are likely to live for a reasonable amount of time (not in immediate danger of lynching, not one of the strongest players who are likely to be killed by wolves out of respect) but also will not be able to clear themselves. In the later stages of the game peek UTR players and strong players.
If a seer peeks a Wolf-Vigilante or a Wolf-Roleblocker they typically should hardclaim immediately. Wolf-vigilante is worth more than a seer, and if you nab the wolf-roleblocker it is possible to get an angel-rotation on you happening.

Angels
Again can be odd night, even night, every night. Rare to be once-off, common-ish to be conditional.
Angels should try and anticipate the wolf kill and protect the obvious choice of NK. A very strong player who has been actively wolfhunting and solving the game is a good choice. A strong player with a high post count is a good choice. A player who in your opinion sounds like they might be a village power role (especially seer) is a good choice.

Day Vigilante
If at all possible, shoot the lead wagon with 3-4 hours until eod, regardless of whether you think that player is a wolf. The information is important – it effectively gives us two lynches per day.

Night vigilante
Shooting the second wagon is good
Shooting UTR players who you think aren't power roles is fine
You probably shouldn't make hero shots unless you are a very strong player.

Masons:
Leave a code that your mason can clear him/herself with after you die.

Common wolf roles:
Wolf vigilante (kills an extra player per night)
Wolf roleblocker (disables a player's night action each night)
Wolf day angel (makes a player invincible the next day, if lynched it will typically pass down to 2nd wagon.
Wolf night angel (same as a village angel)
Wolf godfather (peeks as villager)
Wolf seer (peeks a player per night, allowing the wolves to seer-hunt better)

Only the vigilante and roleblocker are worth outing a seer for.

How to best contribute as a villager:

If you are not one of our important power roles, you can still be an asset to the village. Or a liability, depending on how you play.
If you are a newer player, do not be afraid to be wrong about your reads. The worst thing you can do is just copy someone else's reads, or go with whatever other people are saying. Interact with people, ask probing questions (think to yourself: If I were wolf, what would I find it difficult to answer) By trying to solve the game you allow the strong wolf hunters to see your train of thought, something that is very difficult to emulate as a wolf.
Post lots. I know some of you don't like it when I post 200 times a day, and I will not do that this game, but if you are regularly posting less than 10 times in a gameday it will be difficult to read you. If it's difficult to read you we will have to assume you are a wolf and lynch you. Typically the wolves are not caught by them being wolfy - they are caught by villagers being too villagery for them to copy.
