Most important invention in human history?

Would you rather be married to the "right" woman and poor, or rich and married to someone awful?

Married to someone that you would classify as "settling" or single?

Rich doing something you dislike, or poor doing something you love?

If a genie popped out of a bottle and said that you had 1 week to decide what you wanted to do with the rest of your life, and you would be successful at it, what would you pick?

The thermos bottle. It keeps my coffee hot, and my ice tea cold without electricity. How does it know?????

if that's not a good answer ... i guess electricity. I cannot fathom how people survived without it

Will you teach the kids the proper maths? everyone teaches about grams and kilograms but you gotta deal in quarter ounces and eighths of ounces. Who ever bought a kilo of anything?

In any type of science, ounces and pounds are BS, btw. Everything is in g, kg, etc. And it's a lot easier to work with.

What age level/subject matter would you optimally want to teach? We're assuming math given your degree, but even within math there's a lot of subjects, depending on the age group.
Have you looked into doing tutoring for that age group on the side while you have your current job, or while you're a teacher?

Hey, you're supposed to be answering questions here, not asking them.

In the spirit of that, where is that joke from?

When i started, i wanted to teach 7th or 8th grade. Here is why. I am aware that most elementary teachers are not great in math, and dont push it. And many students struggle with high school math because they do not have the foundations to be successful. I wanted to be the guy who taught them math and gave them the tools they need to be successful in high school

That being said, i enjoyed teaching high school more than middle school in my teaching experience. Could be because i did it after i did middle school and got better, or it could just be that i enjoyed the maturity level more

I prefer algebra to anything .... i love algebra so if i had my druthers i would teach mostly 9th grade integrated algebra

but ill teach anything -- in any subject even

I definitely will. I tutor SAT classes at the learning center, and i technically did sign a no compete agreement saying i wont tutor privately.. but plenty of people there do. The pay there isnt great, but it looks good on a resume and all the materials are there for you which makes it easy

Privately tutoring math, i could easily make 50-75 per hour so i am definitely going to be looking into that

Well, then, what about a lifetime Mets dynasty, where they're in the postseason something like 80% of the time and actually winning a WS every 5 years or so at most...for the rest of your lifetime? Now it's a lifetime of pleasure for both.

Hmm.... ultimate pleasure for a few days every 5 years? Way better than marriage, imo

I wonder if it gets boring if your team just wins all the time?

EDIT:

I mean, do you think it gets less exciting if your team wins lots of Championships, and is always in the playoffs, etc?
