That's pretty impressive, they don't usually teach you how to do that until advanced yoga.

"Indeed", to you both. Positively yes - and I'd counsel anyone with any such inkling in this regard to do the same, with wanton abandon (wickedly delicious emoticon needed here! :-) ). With an English Law Degree and subsequently more years (and initials after my name) than I care to remember as a VP of Investments, CIMA (Certified Investment management analyst) and CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), I was, indeed, caught in the proverbial 'success-trap', decidedly miserable (when I dared to slow down enough, stop running from myself and my very evident truth) and with barely an ounce of good health and/or true contact with my soul, left....before being FORCED (a "Type-A", Pita, Aries (yes, GASP, I just readily and openly embraced Astrology as an influence on we merely mortal (?) humans) tends to need a cosmic 2" x 4" before listening to life's messages, I cannot, in any good conscience claim that any innate wisdom and or conviction led me to this path) to leave. When one is in such acute and chronic pain (of many years' duration) that, finally, one 'hears' the words, "Death has to be better than this" cross one's mind, it tends, in my case at least, to be one heck of a wake up call. Within two weeks, I was out of Wall Street, out of a 10+year alcoholic marriage, into a part time job teaching Massachusetts' children as a Teacher Naturalist at Mass Audubon and into my very first yoga class, which also happened to be my very first class of Yoga teach training. It has been THE most transformational (do not read that as "all plain-sailing and easy"!), mind-blowing, shackle-sheadding, life embracing, spectacular ride and one I have positively NO intention of stopping at any point in THIS lifetime.

Quite the opposite actually......for the male instructor, it's somewhat akin to heading out with other people's babies and/or cute puppies!! HUGELY in demand, sought after and yet still in VERY limited supply :-)

In the yogic world, that would, of course, be 'second chakra' energy.... rarely openly spoken of or acknowledged, let alone embraced in either general parlance and conduct OR indeed that of the yogic world, unless one is trained in the tantric tradition, as am I, and then, well.... perhaps you might ask Atakdog more about that :-) Whether he will deign to answer, I know not :-)

I wonder how quickly a 40+ year old completely inflexible man can become a limber, twist-himself-into-a-pretzel tantric superstar.

Y'all starting to see a bit of what's going on here?

But the most amazing thing is that a lot of that, and a lot of the rest of it, I didn't know when we fell for each other, even as she didn't know a lot of the things that she finds attractive about me. Every day we discover new ways in which were right for each other.

Devi seemed slightly annoyed (in an amused way) this morning when I held crow and side crow, this being our fourth session:

To lighten the mood a bit, I have some suggestions for winning over teenagers:

1- Rearrange her room, and when she sees it, yell "Surprise!!"

2- Make her multiple playlists consisting primarily of songs produced before she was born.

3- Borrow her clothes and wear them around the house, show her how much you like her style.

4- Dance for her, in front of her, at her. Teens love this.

5- Friend her on facebook and comment on all her posts. Also friend her friends and start tagging them in photos.

6- Learn all the cool kid slang they have today and use it in conversation with her. Also works with text shorthand.

That will probably give you a good head start, I'll add more if I think of them.

And on a serious note, good luck, I hope you and Devi are able to reach a balance and be happy together. You both seem like extraordinary and wonderful human beings, I wish you guys the best.

I've reported the recent posts and asked for today's stuff to be deleted, which is sad because of the thoughtful responses. And crossnerd's suggestions

But it really does have to go.

I'll be back when I have stuff to say that's more appropriate for a well.

Thanks, y'all.
