Fine with 13-14, but prefer 13. You are carrying something but its easily the least traditionally manly thing to carry...groceries.

Do people who want 14 really think this could be 16, which is halfway up the manly scale?

I argue it’s much more likely this is 11 than 16

And more likely it’s 12 than 15

This seems like a middle of the road thing with maybe a slight lean towards manly side

Personally I think it’s more likely 12 than 14 so I’m strongly on 13

Both my wife and daughter can and do carry all of the groceries in at once

He’s clearly trying to go for a middle range number with this

If he wanted 14/15/16 he’d pick something weakly manly or manly with qualifiers

I think 13 dominates 14 except when it’s exactly 14...We give up EV by going 14 imo

Why?

It’s carrying in groceries

Grocery shopping is 50/50 male/female and the one who shops usually carries them in.

For parents, they have their kids bring them in.

This doesn’t take much strength and it’s a typical weekly thing that everyone does.

And most people try to bring all at once because they don’t want to make multiple trips.

They even sell big caribiners called “mommy hooks” for putting all your bags onto and carrying them at once.

This is a middle area clue so it’s 9-13 range but it’s not 9/10

What is a better 11 clue???

16 though? I think there is more 11 than 16 equity, 16 is the middle of the scale on the manly side, I just cant see carrying groceries in as ever that high. Also, it may be like derwis clue, we knew what side of the scale it was on but there wasnt a clear 11 so 11 was the min not 12.

Well “carrying in the groceries” is the better 11 clue

At once is what makes it 12-13

But it doesn’t jump it to 16, or usually even to 14

In terms of equity it’s 13>12>14>>>>>>11=15>>>>>>>>>>>>>>16

Carrying the groceries in one go is a stereotypically thing that men do because they're men. I mean it's sad middle age dad **** but it's not something that men and women do equally which would be an 11

Sure in a tv show or a movie

But in reality women are carrying in the groceries in one go to avoid 3 trips up and down the stairs just like guys are

That’s why this is a 13 and not 11, but it’s not 15 and definitely not 16

It doesn’t even matter about 11 because this is 12-14 almost always

You aren’t clued 16 and then think “hmmm...groceries!!”

Even at 14 you are gonna think of something manly then tone it down, not something generic and tone it up

“Carrying in groceries” = 11

At one time = l2-13

Very strongly higher.

I think Donk had the right idea initially.

This is more manly than an 11. The only other choice is 12. Yeah, it's possible, but it seems more manly than that. There's just more room at the higher side. 14, 15 and yes even 16 are on the table.

I think what Donk said about that it is something some men do so look manly is the right idea.
I wouldn't go as high as 16, but 14 seems plausible. I'd vote for higher.

This is one of the things men are commonly made fun of for (see also: not asking for directions, getting the man flu) so this has to be a fairly high number for sheer memetic value. Very strongly on higher as well.
