maybe that would be a terrible clue for 6. i don't know about bar culture. i thought bartenders drink with customers all the time. they do on tv.

for 6 i could change it to..... a poker dealer saying "action is on you sir"

showing up to work 5-50 minutes late could be 11-12

calling in sick twice in 1 week could be 11-13

finished work early to have drinks with coworkers - very possible 10 or under. possibly 11/12

Agree that the word finishing is a bit muddling, though.

If he literally means "leaving" early, to me it's always a 15 or 16.

If he means he got everything done & bounced, it's a 12 or 13.

what sort of job would this be acceptable for?

anytime I try and think of jobs I think of bankers/construction/logistics

if my coworker got to leave because he finished his work.. I'd be kind of rattled.. that's not how work usually goes

I'm not even considering that interpretation tbh.

Basically, I think if Z totally disregarded the left side of the scale, then this is higher. But if he used it on a scale of "most appropriate - least appropiate", then it should be lower.

I worked until 7 today, but I'm expected to be there until at least 5:30. If at 4:30 today my boss was like where's JM3, I need him to draft a Motion & my co-worker is all like, oh, he just went to get drunk with his friends, nbd, it would be a problem.

The weird thing is the behavior in question isn't even at work.

Leaving early isn't appropriate, though, so I don't see how it can not be higher than 11.

Like if the clue is "leaving work early" this can't be an 11 or lower because there's not even a question that it's not appropriate to leave early without further information.

& all the modifiers go up from there.

There are definitely certain bosses/jobs where this is way less of a big deal than others, as long as it's a one-off and you are generally a good worker. It's probably not even as bad as chucking a sickie, and I'm sure everyone here has done that before.

I feel this is less of a deal than others but we of course don't know til reveal...calling in "sick" is probably like 16 - your average inappropriate behavior? Just curious if you said in advance and you're gonna acceptably finish up to go out early it doesn't seem *that* bad. I mean what are we arguing here, 13 et al against 15? Or thinking it can be 16+?
