That averages out to like 15 and a half. I would be closer to the 17 than the 15 side also, and I think based on what bloo said he would also, so shockingly I prefer to guess 16 when it’s the number I liked to begin with haha
Just woke up.. FWIW I would have supported 16 as the team pick based on the above...

I’d go higher. Can’t think of an instance when this is at all close to “small talk”. Think this is closer to 18.

Edit: this is UD.

Re: Wavelength 6, Round 1: Math & Mayhem vs Half Bastards

Yeah I think we gotta go higher

I don’t know what number I would guess, but it’s pretty heavy and 16 is middle of heavy range and this is heavier than middle of that range

I guess 17 for posterity

So that’s 3 for higher so far

4 on higher. One more and we can probably bold.

Haha

If all 5 of us agree then we can “probably bold”

Nice

Oh yeah, we didn’t give clue so all 6 go now

I thought you were talking about how often last game we’d sit around for 24 hours after agreeing on a direction before finally bolding what we said a day earlier

Re: Wavelength 6, Round 1: Math & Mayhem vs Half Bastards

It was

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

This spectrum was surprisingly tough, and I definitely interpreted it differently than most people

I wasn't going by seriousness of topic per se but how likely it would be to have a casual conversation about it

Like, to me, 21 would be "processing grief after the suicide of a loved one" or something like that, since any conversation about that is necessarily super heavy, as opposed to a thing people would be likely to bring up casually

Which is why it was probably good in retrospect that I had to rerand the first time

Anyone want to take a guess on what number I had for COVID?

I had a similar example as you for a 21. Much heavier than a covid discussion imo.

18 for covid?

I had guessed 19 (and seriously thought it was around there), but after these remarks it seems like it's more like 13.

Nice clue gad, you got us to 15.5 basically. Sorry we went the wrong way but as Carl would tell me that part is random. I think 20 for covid

Sorry if I bolded 16 over 15 too soon but it seemed like we were headed there based on our averages

I was happy you bolded it; was worried about the conversation coalescing around 17

It was
Spoiler:

Which made a lot of sense in my head

My logic was something like:

It's all everyone talks about these days; it's as inevitable a part of most small talk as "how's the weather?"

Everyone talks about it casually all the time

But at the same time, it's obviously a serious subject, and the topic of much heavy discussion as well

So, yeah

Not on the same page as my team there

Is this the point where somebody reserves a topic or something?

Re: Wavelength 6, Round 1: Math & Mayhem vs Half Bastards

yeah, 12 makes sense for covid

the spectrum isn't light subject - heavy subject or unimportant - important

it's small talk - heavy talk

covid talk is basically small talk right now, so it could even go a little lower, but it's a heavy subject so i like it slightly on the heavy side

but nobody sits around talking about the second spectrum, so i'm a little shocked the same person thought covid was 12 for that reason but that this was only a 15
