Re: Wavelength 6, Round 1: Math & Mayhem vs Half Bastards

Yea I think rerand and another clue - I don't think it was intentional and 19 wasn't thought about - as such gives away that it's not 19. Coronavirus woulda been fine.

If rerand and another clue, then donít say a word about this clue so they donít get info about your intention with it

Re: Wavelength 6, Round 1: Math & Mayhem vs Half Bastards

Whatever you guys want is fine with me but I’d prefer to rerand. Don’t think gad was trying to do anything bad of course, but I honestly woulda been on 19-20 and him imo never doing this on 19 makes it a weird spot

Re: Wavelength 6, Round 1: Math & Mayhem vs Half Bastards

Sorry to my teammates if I’m causing unnecessary drama I just want to avoid it all so if our opponents are open to a rerand that would be my preference

Re: Wavelength 6, Round 1: Math & Mayhem vs Half Bastards

Yea rerand is best, no biggie it happens. Nich's clue was IPhone4 screen size to try to hit 6 IIRC - very similar where it wasn't intended for the actual number but ruled out 4 for us. And here you're obv never guessing 19 now

If anyone thinks that's angly I will rerand and reclue

I'm good with a rerand

I may not be right, but that is where I was coming from with COVID being the prime "heavy topic." There is nothing more topical, imo..

All moot now, I guess...

Yes, fair. I still just generally think there are heavier topics to talk about that would be obvious 21s, but I guess we will see after the round! Pretty sure it was 20 haha. I always think the extremes have many super obvious answers, but thatís why this is a fun game haha.

Also no prob gad, you all know you didnít have any malicious intentions.

This is higher than 11, but not sure how much higher. Maybe 14?

Especially since the other end of the spectrum is small talk. Dunno if anyone has small talk about racial disparities in prenatal care lol

Initially was thinking 14ish too. maybe 14-15

This could be racial disparity about anything, but I think the issue of prenatal nutrition ramps things up a bit because the consequences are so concerning.

So, we have about a large % of non-minorities publicly saying the issue is grounded in economic and social inequities and they want to help fix that. But a large chunk of these same people quietly believe that that is more about poor choices and wrong priorities, as opposed to economic barriers, social barriers, education, informed choices, etc.

The minorities impacted cant spot the good guys from the bad guys, but are historically skeptical of any of the "we are from the government and are here to save you from yourselves" people. And rightly so.

it is heavy mostly because of the sensitivity and the power imbalances. The groups that hold the purse strings for solutions often don't look like the minorities with the challenges, and neither side is too comfortable talking about all the factors at play..

Re: Wavelength 6, Round 1: Math & Mayhem vs Half Bastards

AK I agree with everything you said but don’t understand why that leads you to 14-15. If you think prenatal nutrition bumps it up then it feels like it should be higher, because discussion about racial disparities to begins with imo is clearly on the heavy side

16/17 seems reasonable. Happy with either of those, probably prefer 17.

Re: Wavelength 6, Round 1: Math & Mayhem vs Half Bastards

Bolt or AK have you been persuaded by any of our arguments? Right now we have

Bolt:14
AK:14.5(?)
FMK: 16
EB: 17
Bloo: 16.5 (?)

That averages out to like 15 and a half. I would be closer to the 17 than the 15 side also, and I think based on what bloo said he would also, so shockingly I prefer to guess 16 when it’s the number I liked to begin with haha

Ok sorry if wrong guys but I’m closer to 17 and our average is slightly more than 15.5 so I’m gonna lock it in
