Rules

24 hour time limit to guess the number once clue is given
16 hour time limit to guess higher/lower once number is guessed (don't wait for "not x" response)

Weekends get 8 more hours added to each of those (32 for guess, 24 for higher/lower). Weekend is defined as the prior round ends Friday anytime, Saturday anytime, or Sunday before 3pm)

If deadline missed, we'll take last number or higher/lower posted in the thread by a team member no matter what (e.g., even if it's someone saying "it's closer to 5 than 21" then we take 21)

You can use up to NINE words in your clue OR post an image with no words. No numbers (or number stand-ins) can be used in the clue. No GIFs allowed.

If you post a picture, it may have ONLY words saying who or what it is. Nothing descriptive at all.

Clue Giver can research; guessers on both sides cannot

Yep I’m at the same 16/17 area and not sure which I like best yet. I like your list Carl but think there’s not as many steps in there albeit you seem to agree that those aren’t each their own tier

Yeah, I was just demonstrating that he should have been able to think of at least 4-5 hotter things.

I suppose it could be as low as 15, but I don't think it's ever lower. Maybe we say 17 for that reason. I'd be pretty shocked if 17 didn't score at least 1 point.

Is 11 room temperature? I can't see this then being as low as 15, think 12 is something a nudge above room temp, 13 is sunny day at the beach, 14 is like a sauna, 15 is something in the 60-80C region and you could argue this being either a high 16 or a 17.
