I'm obviously going to cut corners/interpret liberally some of the genres, but how do you feel about how Azn/African/w/e artists should be? I take it - translating to the NBA - that, eg, Jeremy Lin and Lebron James don't make the cut for either of those, but how about the 76ers as a band/team - or if they billed themselves as The Project & the 76ers .. or, and here's the rub for (non Utah) Jazz bands, simply as The Project and his hot 5/76/# or The The Project Quintet?
I'm not sure I understand this question. If a band has one part time member who is a minor player, nah. You have a group like the torpedo boyz who are a German and Japanese Duo, sure for either europe or aisia. You have Cibo Matto a Japanese duo with an Italian name who I think record and live in NY (maybe? for the sake of argument lets say yes), sure for Asian. Cheap Trick at Budokan not Asian.
So I guess if you have a significant portion of the band being from the continent you can count them from that continent. (significant portion being at least a core member). So a band with an eclectic mix of nationalities like recently formed [redacted] you could put as from a lot of places.
