Plan B it is!

King eb vs Bolt!!!

Here's Elastica with 'Connection'

From the absolute GOAT year for just about all forms of entertainment (1994), here's a song that was a pretty big hit that I never hear anymore. It's quick and fun with an unforgettable intro.

Here's A Flock of Seagulls with 'Space Age Love Song'

If it wasn't for this song, this band would have been a one-hit wonder. Why this song isn't played on classic rock stations escapes reason. This is a banger.

I never even heard the FoS song back in the day. The video did them no favours. Not sure which way to go.

I work at the Hard Rock, which, predictably, plays music in the casino at all times. A few years ago the song that eb submitted came on while I was dealing and my reaction was basically Hey! I remember that song! I like that song!!!

I bookmarked it and have been keeping it saved for the perfect Walrus category, which I'd no doubt crush. In other words, if I wasn't playing this week, I'd probably be voting for eb.

Connection brings back such happy memories from watching Trigger happy TV.

What a show

I can understand why these were forgettable. The only thing from the second one that was memorable was that hair.

The first one was better, albeit not by much.

I have no idea if that Elastica song ever made it across the ocean. The main hook feels familiar but the rest is lost on me. It has such a classic 90s vibe to it though that if feels appropriate anyway. Vs I was too young to remember most of the 80s and don't feel any worse off for it.

If I manage to survive this, I won't be able to submit a new song until I get back home late Monday.

(For UK peeps, this is a major holiday weekend in US/Canada)

Every week I say it's close so as of this sentence I've only listened to #1

Not typically my thing at all, thought it was a weird yet memorable intro, and then enjoyed this very very much. Happy to have heard it and as of right now seems like #2 will have a tough time.

Having now listened to #2

Spoiler:
Awesome intro! Felt I was soaring through the clouds. Got a little repetitive though I still enjoyed the glidey feel. I can only imagine how many awesome memories were had to this song.

I thought it couldn't be close with #1 at first and after wanting to hear it again I'm righteously impressed. A vital connection is made.

I thought about submitting this version, but decided to go with the official video instead.
