agree with everything but "too noisy" stylistic difference. second is quite good
Er, this might be awkward but you got third.
I think you got confused because I accidentally posted the reveals for 3rd and 2nd in the same post. I ninja-edited it but it appears that you were quicker than me.

not confused!
i don't think it's polite for me to comment on a host's opinion of my own songs, generally speaking. to break practice for a moment, i think yours was excellent. thanks for the lengthy comments!
Weird thing that I feel compelled to share: when I saw this song's title, I immediately guessed it was about mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. I obviously still googled the lyrics and found how hilariously wrong I was.
Anyway, this submission has an enormous problem; it is basically unlistenable. I think the music should be good. I think I like the singer's voice. But I cannot be sure, because the quality is just that bad.
If you do not understand what I am talking about, look at this studio version I found. It is awesome. The difference is simply staggering, and it would have been heavily reflected in the ranking.
eff it.
tchaz didn't have any actual access to youtube - for raisens - all the links were ripped from google search without listening to them
Similarly to UD, I was mostly disappointed & not much really resonated with me. I have 9 songs to judge, & so judge them I did. I did not enter my own category, but I would have finished at least 2nd, probably 1st. So you guys should consider yourselves lucky.
I don't find this pleasant. There's an element to it that's almost D12-like, but it's the best element of this, & the worst element of D12, so it's not really enough to counteract the things I find actively bad. Odd chanting & polka music isn't really what I look for in rap music (or any music).
Live trip report: 70 seconds in nothing has happened yet & I'm super nonplussed by whatever is going on. The rapping is…ok…the chorus is not ok. Did someone over-autotune a dijuridu? Accidental next song listen: Long Live the Chief is much better.
This seems more like an early 90s type song. It's the kind of music I didn't really love back then, & still don't love today. Just some non-impactful talking with a mediocre beat with discordant elements that I find off-putting. The more I listen to this the less I like it. It ungrows on me.
I kind of like how hard this goes in places, but it's basically just metal masquerading as rap as far as I'm concerned. As such, it comes across a little repetitive. It starts off a bit like a poor man's Run DMC, then goes into a couple different levels of chorus. This is another song that seems less than contemporary.

that seems pretty accurate all round - including Long Live...
slow down a little so we can listen before the next reveal?
I like how the song starts right away & it seems to have some promise, but I just get the feeling that this guy thinks he is way smarter than he is the way he throws words and metaphors around seemingly at random. I read the lyrics along with listening to the song the 2nd time, & I still don't really know what it's about, & it's not because I don't know what the individual words/concepts mean. It's ok, just not really my thing.
I kind of like "That Part", but this doesn't quite have the same catchiness to me. I don't find the flow particularly compelling, nor the beat, nor the message. It's all ~ok, but not something I would ever seek out again. The chorus is kind of non-conventional, but not entirely uncatchy.
