I mean, if we're saying to the seer not to claim so that wolves have to kill him, which to be honest, I'm agnostic about, we should also not lynch potential seers, because that just makes it easier for the wolves. We could simply be forcing the seer to claim, which would actually make the whole weekend even more of a waste of time than it already was, since the seer could actually just have claimed at SOD.

What I am wishing I had someone willing to talk to about is whether it's better not to lynch a "peek" too, even if that means we are more likely to mislynch.

Personally, I have three live peeks, so if none is lynched, I have a lock if I survive the night. This is true for any seer with three live peeks. I'd obviously have a lock right now if I could clear one other villager securely, but I hope people will take it as a compliment that that is simply impossible.
