Oh now wait now

You sent Noah a horrible PM that quite frankly you should have been infracted for, so don't claim you never was disrespectful to him

Please point out how you have been playing up a storm

Starrazz, it really doesn't take a lot to resolve this. You need to just play more. More turbos, more long games, but mostly more long games. It's not like we can pick a number out of the air and have it be the magic number after which you can mod games. It's just whenever it seems like you've played enough to understand how things work around here.

And obviously, if you play vanillas more as opposed to mish mashes, it will help too if you want to run a vanilla game.

How the **** am I supposed to defend against this lying post of yours when I can't even quote PMs? I reviewed each and every PM I have sent noah and the PM I sent him was not disrespectful and certainly not infractable and as soon as I get permission from a moderator to post it I will and everyone can see your post for what it is--a lie!

Some of the in's Ive been doing in turbos, and in at least one occasion I offered to play or mod and to allow everyone a chance to play modded.

ban me for quoting the last 2 words of my PM to him if you like, but they were:

"Friends,
Adam"

and it wasnt in a sarcastic or snarky way

I do enough wrong you dont need to lie to make **** up

Im not asking for a "magic number" that is your phrasing not mine.

I am asking for reasonable expectations so that I dont go and go and go and go with no problem and then one hiccup and youre like see there he goes again...plus how am I supposed to prove a track record of success at modding so that I can mod long games if you wont even let me mod a frickin turbo. At least give me some guidelines til I can mod a turbo that aren't LOL

Well, if you play in like 7-10 turbos (which wouldn't take a long time to achieve), without issues, then you'd be ok to mod turbos again, and then good turbo modding experience without issues plus some playing experience in vanilla long games it would be ok to mod long games again, initially (for like 1, maybe 2 games) as the comod to an experienced mod, and then everything back to normal on the understanding that you'd obviously be on a short leash for the first few, and then after that it's whatever.

At least, that's the progression I think is reasonable

That is fair. I agree. Let me know if any other mods have a problem with that. The community will hold both sides accountable.

On an entirely separate note, you should take back what you said about my PM to noah. Publicly. Please.

I'm not worried, I know what I sent. I have sent a PM to Time Lady and we will jointly announce our findings (I hope)

In the email in question, I had a vigorous but respectful discussion with Noah that responded truthfully to his request for where we stood, said PM ending in "good day, sir" in a non-sarcastic genuine way. There was harsh language used to describe how I felt about his behavior but never anything said in the way of a personal attack, which is probably why I wasn't even warned about it let alone infracted. I thought Noah deserved an honest response to his honest question rather than some passive-aggressive ignoring or lying about how I felt. I have no problem with Noah.

just one example he claimed in the postgame that I had purposely ignored tbob's request to change the nightkill but in fact tbob sent that so close to my posting of the nightkill that our xpost was unavoidable. He ranted several posts in the postgame about this and this is just one example of not only did he not take his concerns to me via PM but was wrong about his alleged facts in his attacks on my modding in that particular thread. So yes that ticked me off. I slept on it. Was still ticked off. He asked how I felt. I responded that yes we have an issue, look at what you did man. I'm not quoting Im' giving you the gist of the issue to the extent it is publicly available if you look at his posts. I don't want to get into more detail for fear of breaking any rules here.

Thanks, and I appreciate it. I feel like I should note that it's not that argumentation is forbidden. POG is always arguing about stuff. That's all good. And it's not about the mods thinking that it's some horrible effrontery for people to say we're wrong. It's just that on the issues we've been raising with your modding, there is such a long established protocol that argument is completely unnecessary and isn't going to go anywhere. And it was frustrating for me because it felt like you weren't quite willing to just accept that POG is what it is in terms of those established ways of doing things. So I am happy to see you acknowledge your mistakes there.

I think that POG on the whole is pretty welcoming of new ideas, new game play, and eccentric characters. Or certainly I hope it is and want it to be. So it has kind of pained me to play the role of telling the new guy to get in line :P It's just that there are a few sacred cows around here you have to respect, and for me personally the vanilla game and vanilla turbo are high on the list.

Also to make it clear: re: TL's post. You'll have to wait for an "official" ruling on that. And you should play the turbos and then PM us and we'll have a little chat, before you create a turbo signup. Just as a matter of procedure

Thanks :P
