I think the issue here is that many people aren't familiar with Walker, Texas Ranger (and most are thinking of movie Hannibal, not TV show one)

To sum up who Walker is: A group of writers said "what if Chuck Norris was a real person?" and then they wrote Walker, Texas Ranger to show what a real Chuck Norris would be like. And then they gave him elite tracking skills to boot.


Meanwhile, Filthy is making obviously facetious arguments like "Walker would have chance in MMA vs Hannibal"...nobody would give Hannibal a chance at even landing a punch on Walker in an MMA fight, so that was a disingenuous statement.


Like I said before, Hannibal was a good choice and given enough time and space for planning and no advanced notice to Walker for the element of surprise, then Hannibal would have had a small chance. But in this scenario laid out, there is no way Hannibal kills Cordell Walker.

Walker is a stone cold killer of bad guys, and Hannibal is definitely a bad guy

Hannibal really only killed ladeda people he met at the opera or really broken people who were his psych clients, right? Did he ever really go up against a worthy opponent? I don't think so. He's witty and clever and has a refined palate, but he's no tough guy.

Forgot how much of a guilty pleasure that show was growing up

TV Hannibal would actually have a better chance in a 1-on-1 vs Walker than movie Hannibal, but he would still lose. But if he can find a way to make him ingest some of that drug he has that makes people eat their own face off, now we've got a match!

I'm leaning Hannibal because:

- Walker doesn't have a gun
- Walker takes down fairly standard foe normally right? (I haven't seen the show so not sure)
- I think Hannibal is more vicious, ruthless and used to working with limited resources in restricted situations
- Hannibal will smell him coming and be 3 steps ahead

I'm open to having my mind changed but it'll have to be convincing

Hannibal mostly relies on manipulation and careful planning to make his kills, so the more time he has, the better his chances are. But on the show at least, the couple of times that he was caught off-guard, he would've certainly died if not for plot armour kicking in. Maybe it's a similar story for Walker tho (only really seen a couple of sporadic episodes).

Walker is a martial arts expert and former marine; he doesn’t need a gun. He would win a weaponless fight against anybody on this ship easy.

And he’s an expert tracker as well, adaptive to any situation and is always 3 steps ahead of his foes (so will be same steps with Hannibal)

He’s basically a realistic version of Chuck Norris; a bad ass

Hannibal is super super smart and a sociopath

But that doesn’t mean he can realistically beat Walker, who kills sociopaths and baddies all the time.

He loses his space and time and planning and element of surprise in this setting.

If this actually happens there really is no way Hannibal ever beats Walker. But this is for fun so vote how you want.
