Yeah goose egg on normal is easy, I managed it on my second attempt.

I drew with people on timed twice out of about 10 games yesterday.

Haven't got very far on advanced yet but I can only afford a few rubbish abilities so it doesn't play that differently to normal.

My guess is that advanced really starts to play different when you can buy no 3s for 11 points.

In general, I don't think no 3's is all that helpful. 4s become the new 3s and you get tons of bonus tiles and it makes it hard to get a max bonus.

Maybe if you are fine wading through a ton of ****ty games with the hope of spiking the one huge one.

playing advanced to get a topscore is basically waiting until you get the magic roll (and not screwing it up, of course).

I got bored with it pretty quickly.

This is so unfair. If I get 2s instead of 1s I finish the game with 41525 points, this way I have 11325 points.

actually misplayed the last two pieces as a result of being pissed off, should have been ~22k or so i think. Might even have scored more by foregoing the snake charmer but salvaging the bonuses, not sure

yeah, the middle 4 on the right and the bottom 2 need to be switched. Two more bonus and 4-chain one longer.

I don´t think placing a 2 in the middle square improves your score.

The real error in the play is the placing of the initial 2´s. If you get 4 2´s in the first 4 racks you should not connect them.

not sure why the pair of twos is connected on the LHS - it certainly came about because the leftermost was in the fourth rack, but even then it's hard to see what the alternatives can have been that i couldn't stick it in somewhere else (especially given the layout of the 6s)
