I forget whether it was me who originally suggested that no shows go first on any given day, and then lowest score goes if there are not any no shows, but the above looks better and cleaner. Warped, It would just be a minor edit on the tourney news tab if you decide to go for it.

I am not really worried about the possible boring part at the beginning as much as something odd happening on the 18th or so where let's say I (SubArcticK) am last but I get saved only because [redacted] missed his/her first game of the month. Being saved by luck on Oct 5th or 6th or 7th not such a big deal, but being saved mid or late in the game by luck might not be so great. Arjun's suggestion would avoid that..

Monthly Race

• In the history of the monthly DC race, there has only been one tie -- in March 2018, SubArcticK and Alex tied at 254, with SubArc winning the tiebreaker via more DC wins. It looked like we were headed for another one in September, with SubArc and Dynasty tied at 218 going into the last day of the month. However, SubArcticK put up a fifth-place score on September 30, while Dynasty finished out of the top 10, giving SubArc his 10th monthly DC win. SubArc posted the most top-5 finishes during the month, and the win marked his 13th consecutive month with a top-10 finish.
  
• Dynasty netted the most top-10 finishes in September (18), including 4 second-place scores, but just missed out on the monthly win.
  
• The rest of the top 5 were separated by just four points. dogfloss finished third thanks to nine top-3 finishes, velourfog had two wins and three other top-5 finishes in the last nine days of the month to leap into fourth place, and wafflesobv led the table with 4 DC wins, finishing in fifth.
  
• The rest of the top 10 were also tightly bunched. Bandwagon had the fewest top-10 finishes among the group with 11, but 10 of them were in the top 5; nails was the only player to finish in every spot in the top 10 during the month; and arjun13 held on to 10th place to extend his top-10 streak to 24 consecutive months.

Milestones

• velourfog got his 250th DC win on September 24, the sixth player to reach that milestone.
• Guessinator got his 150th DC win on September 1. He has since added two more wins and sits 15th on the all-time wins list.

228: SubArcticK's DC points total in September was the lowest winning score since arjun13 won with 205 in October 2019, reflecting both the parity and few overall DC wins (37) during the month.

I wish there was a 2nd-4th ranking for DC. I've ranked in the 3-4 range and only gotten 1 clear win in DC.

Elimination games for the Guillotine start today! Altogether we ended up with 30 qualifiers into the tourny. I'm anticipating it'll take around 3-3.5 weeks to run. Just a reminder that the Winter Classic Triple Crown Tourney (white trophy) starts on November 1st. See post 2020-006 in the Tourney News tab on the Triplechain site for more information.

• arjun13 posted his fourth monthly DC win of 2020, pulling away with a DC win and 4 second-place finishes in the last 8 days of the month. arjun had 16 top-5 finishes, including 3 wins and 7 second-place scores. The monthly DC win was arjun's 17th (third-best all-time), and it was also his 25th consecutive month finishing in the top 10, trailing only Paul101's 31 on the all-time list.
  
• SubArcticK came in second in October, his 14th consecutive monthly top-10 finish. SubArc also ended the month strongly, with 1 DC win and 3 second-place finishes in the last week. Along with arjun, SubArc led the way with 21 top-10 scores for the month.
  
• nails finished third after leading for the first three weeks of the month. For the second straight month, nails was the only player to finish in every spot in the top 10. Nimbusfan came in fourth, making his first appearance in the top 10 thanks to 5 DC wins, which tied him with consul at the top of the table. • The November DC race played out very similarly to the October race -- nails led the table for most of the month, only to be overtaken by arjun13 in the last week. arjun had the most top-5 finishes (17), including 5 wins, and tied with SubArcticK for the most top-10 finishes (22) during the month. He also added a hat trick (3 consecutive DC wins) on November 19-21. It was arjun's 18th monthly DC win and his 26th straight month with a top-10 score.
  
• nails held on to second place despite just one top-10 finish in the last week of the month. nails tied for the most DC wins with wafflesobv and was second behind arjun with 13 top-5 finishes. nails also became the second player ever (and the first since Gaby in May 2014) to win 4 consecutive DCs. Like Gaby, nails had two solo wins and two shared wins during the streak.
  
• wafflesobv and SubArcticK finished in third and fourth place, respectively. waffles passed SubArc on the last day of the month by virtue of his 7th DC win. Dynasty rounded out the top 5 thanks to 20 top-10 finishes in November.
