Just looked and there are 29 players so far in today's (Wed) Daily Challenge, including 6 new(ish) Poggers..

My goal right now is to not finish last in one of the next 5

For you or anyone else who wants some tourney games you can set up your own H2H matches (2 players).

Just go to Tourneys and hit "New Tournament"

Name: Give it something like "Beat Priptonite 1" or something
Max Players: 2
Games Per Round: any number you like.. 7, 9, 13, are good...
Seeding: Random (though seeding is irrelevant in H2H)
Registration Period: Unlimited
Scoring Method: Normal

Then click "Create Tournament"

Then, as soon as someone "joins" it will start.

If you want to play someone in particular. Let's say you and Eleanor want to play H2H , then give the tournament a name like "Prip vrs Kscully88..." or something.

That way others will know not to join and will leave it for Kscully88

-- May was a record-setting month for arjun13, who dominated from the start. arjun set a monthly DC score record with 358, eclipsing his own previous record of 346 from October 2017. Although he only had 3 wins in May, arjun put together 26 top-10 finishes, of which 19 were in the top 5 (including 9 second-places).

-- Dynasty took second with a respectable score that was nonetheless nearly 100 points behind arjun. The all-time DC wins leader added 5 more in May, tied for the most with NP and Derwi, who were also top-5 finishers for the month. velourfog rounded out the top 5.

-- Among the rest of the top 10, Bandwagon extended his top-10 streak to 11 consecutive months, the longest active streak, while dogfloss finished 10th for the third consecutive month. iluvbanana, radisto, and consul finished just outside the top 10.

2019 TC DC Stats

When you go to the home page and play the board thinking it's the DC, score 38k, then realize it was just a normal game

I have done that a couple of times. I thought I hit the play DC button and didn't and then it is like, "where is my game..?" I look over on the right and there it is, with no "hidden" beside it.

But, IIRC, I totally botched the normal game the last time it happened and was quite glad it was an accidental practice....lol

2019 Summer Match-Play Championship

It is time for the 2019 Summer Match-Play Championship. The 2018 winner was Paul101. As we did last year, this year’s winner will get a yellow trophy.

Format
-It is a head-to-head (H2H) match play tournament with the winner of each match advancing to the next round. The loser is out.
-Each H2H match will be 50 games played over a period of 20 days (maximum).
-Seeding will be based on the Triplechain tournament ratings on June 10th. 1st seed will play the lowest seed, 2nd seed will play the 2nd lowest seed, etc, in each round.
-If fewer than 8 players register the tourney will not run.
NOTE 1- There will likely be some 1st round byes.
NOTE 2- Last year there was some concern about potential conflict with the WSOP (Main Event July 3 -16). To address this I have changed the number of days per round from 15 days to 20 days. Also, I will double-check start times of the 2nd round and may add another 5 days if it looks like a problem with the WSOP. If people have WSOP conflict concerns let me know before the end of June.

Please DO NOT register if you can't commit to play 50 games in 20 days. (Obviously, if you win your 1st round you will be playing another 50 games in the next 20 days against a different player, and so on)

Because I will be manually creating the 50 game H2H matches, you can't register for the tournament in the normal fashion. Instead you MUST post in this forum or on chatroll on the Triplechain site that you are registering for the tournament. Registration will close at 11:00PM ET on Monday June 10th. NO LATE ENTRIES.

I will post further instructions on chatroll when the tourney starts. On June 11th you can expect to see the match-ups for the first round here and on chatroll and I will create the H2H tournaments and people can join their tourney and begin.
