Typing a lot of results afterwards might take a while, but adding them as new tourneys are played should be easier. I don't even use the drop-down myself, as I prefer OpenOffice's auto-fill, but either works.


The 2nd player name in the toughest is 0, that is a bug as well, I didn't have any percentages at 0, so I hadn't realised there is still some place where it doesn't work, I did consider it for the 1st in toughest and easiest. I thought I fixed the 32 player at -1 once already, maybe I didn't remember to do that in the version where I haven't added my results. Will need to check that as well. The changes will be such, that when I upload a new version, you can copy-paste the results from the current spreadsheet to the new one, so don't have to add everything again!

Confirmed forgot to make the change in the empty version.

I think both should be fixed in this.

To move the results, just copy the data in A45:I??? (??? = whatever is the last row you have added data on) and paste into the new spreadsheet.

In other news, winning flips against players whose username starts with D confirmed impossible.

Ectusante is a pretty cool puzzle imo. It is one of the few "organic" puzzles with all four chains as real possibilities. I have no idea whether the current solution is even the best possible score, it is possible to get better chains and bonus, but I'm not sure if either can be done without losing the other. My current solution looks completely different than what my initial thoughts were on what would be the best.

Confirmed to have at least one better solution. Still possible to improve both chains and bonus, at least in theory.

This was the same way as the one earlier, I was looking at the board, then started a new game, and when placing the first die it changed to the tourney game, and the actual result disappeared.

My thoughts were: "this is the nuts, I've won... Oh no, someone could snake charmer and beat me, oh well, guess I'll come second then."

yeah, when the top players are playing every game perfectly second is basically winning, for me at least, it's the best I can hope for.

I have been eliminated in round 1 or 2 of the last 9 crabshoots, last 4 against you. That has brought my match win percentage against you below 60. That is quite embarrassing.

I just had an idea, maybe we can add a 3rd background color to the tournament lobby. Right now we have yellow when we are in it and green when we have to play games. I propose green when we have to play games, yellow when we are in it and alive and red when we are in it but lost.

Yeah that's a good idea Derwi. I think that's the equivalent of what Paul requested earlier (he wanted a different color for "in but no action required" if I remember correctly.

Any colors other than these that I should add?

- green: games to be played
- yellow: alive but no games to be played
- red: entered but eliminated
- white: not entered

maybe orange: played your games but waiting for opponent to complete his

Not much difference between yellow and orange

Can just go with blue or pink or purple if that's a problem.
