6ers are much more high variance in terms of role randing. much higher chance that you'll wind up with something that is really hard for village or really hard for wolves, but no game is ever unwinnable

& claiming villager/saint is basically indifferent. I don't really think there's a downside, although the only upside is putting cards on the table quicker, which can be helpful for the village, but also helpful in a saint hunt.

Jay putting all his info on the table before the people it relates to claimed or there were other indicia of reliability would have been counterproductive, though.
That being said, it did somehow get Don to hardclaim turncloak or wolf super early...

When I saw i was sitting next to irtm I thought I should try to get some TC equity, or it would be beneficial for the wolves to make village think there was a TC. I even had some early clearing from toast, but that fell apart once I tried to get heat on to other players, which was difficult.

Yeah, I was fine with claiming villager and thought about claiming tracker, in the beginning I had some villa equity I think. At least prior to the astrologer claim.

Someone had alluded to irtm possibly being the TC prior to my claim. So I was thinking that i would take a chance on claiming astrologer and say the TC was in the game to prevent an irtm lynch. Then I could try post my way out of getting lynched.

Goes out the window with no astrologer and the UFO claim.

In hindsight, claiming tracker while being 1st to claim would have been the only chance. Then it becomes a claiming battle & UFO's track all of a sudden looks awfully convenient & confusion abounds.

No way of knowing it was going to play out like that, though.
