Battle Report Day Phase

The 15th of September, Titanrulez-san ordered a very small section of infantry in Wakasa to march onto Nagato, and a moderate mixed force of infantry and cavalry to make for Owari, hoping to find both of them lightly defended or even undefended with so much going on in the west.

First part of the Report, Nagato

The very small infantry detachment arrived in Nagato the 17th of September, as they were nearing the heart of the region they were intercepted by 0/3/1/0 Takeda forces coming from Musashi. Surely they must have been forewarned of the attack by spies or treachery.

The skirmish was inevitable.

Spoiler:
The Takeda army had the infantry and archer advantage (+2)

15-20

The skirmish was over within minutes and Takeda had the day. Nagato was safe for the time being.

This small skirmish slightly increases Takeda’s reputation at the expense of Tokugawa's. (+1) (-1)

This attack goes against the Emperor’s edict, bringing Tokugawa’s motives under some scrutiny (-2)

Takeda Honour and Reputation 79

Second part of the Report, Owari

The 0/4/0/2 detachment Titan sent to Owari found no enemy forces in the province and quickly took control of it.

You have conquered Owari without even having to fight a battle. This slightly increases Tokugawa reputation and decreases Takeda's. (+1) (-1)

This territory was part of Tokugawa domains prior to the edict and as such, the retaking of Owari is legitimate in the eyes of the people. No honour penalty.

There is a small garrison in Nagato that will impede them somewhat but I get your point.

Battle Report Day Phase, Battle for Nagato

The 3rd of October, Titan-san marched on to Nagato with a 0/3/0/10 army.

The night of the 5th they encamped near the heart of the province. At dawn of the 6th they met the Takeda garrison in Nagato, in a defensive position atop a small slope. Afraid would be an understatement, the 0/3/1/0 garrison was terrified.

Titan-san perceived the nervousness on the Takeda troops and calmly ordered his army to arrange in wide formation, to further impress the enemy troops.

Then, after having some tea on the field with his advisors, he ordered the attack on the hill.

Spoiler:
Titan has superior cavalry (+2) and 1 star general (+2)
The garrison has superior archers (+1)
Infantry is tied
Net bonus +3 for Mike

Garrison roll is first as is. Titan's roll includes the +3 bonus

8-13
16-16 (both lose 1 unit)
14-20
11-19

Titan losses: 1 cavalry unit
Garrison losses: all 4 units

The battle was short-lived as Titan's army destroyed the garrison with very few losses.

Nagato has fallen to the Tokugawa forces. This skirmish furthers Tokugawa reputation slightly (+1).

This attack goes against the Emperor's edict openly, bringing scrutiny on the Tokugawa faction. (-2)

General Willd, attack Wakasa with all your available troops (1/1/2)

Before you think I've lost my mind, Instantly sent details of their troops in Wakasa, 8/2/16. By my count of what they've dispatched from there on the three attacks, they have 0/2/0 left. Not sure if they have a General or not, but I doubt they have a 3 star there, so we have the advantage.

Mod Note:

Cavalry and Generals alike can move into enemy territory and then move back to friendly territory in the same turn. They cannot move into enemy territory and then FURTHER into enemy territory in the same turn.

Just clearing this up.

What?

I'm pretty sure you've said to me that moving in to enemy territory uses their full movement points

This is in effect when the movement into enemy territory is a "walk", not a battle.

This is in effect only when the movement into enemy territory is a walk, not an actual battle. Attacking and fighting a battle depletes all movement points regardless of unit type.

For completeness
