Otherwise you are correct. Everyone is vanilla. You have the option to receive a different power up each SOD. A mushroom can be stacked with more mushrooms, but only if you have a mushroom and then receive another the next day. A fire flower grows more powerful the longer you hold on to it. So there is a bit of strategy in deciding whether you want to receive a new power up each day.

How do the ice power and leaf work? And can the power ups help to prevent a lynch from taking place?

Every day someone gets a chanxe to be a PR. The powerups offer angel, protection from shots, and a shot.

By d3, many will have a dayvig of 100%.

An ice flower and leaf are Night Actions.

If you use an ice flower on another player, they will be unable to perform their own Night Action (should they have one).

If you use a Leaf, that player is protected from death that night. So if the wolves used their night kill or any player shot that person with a fire flower.

Nothing can interfere with the lynch.

I kind of want to somehow have a tracker. At least a day tracker. Otherwise a day flower can be shot with impunity. But maybe that's okay.

you're a very villagery villager and did a great job clearing yourself. I think one of the hardest parts of playing villager for newer players is leave the death tunnel, which isn't really something I've seen you do as a villager apart from that one game with me.

Much easier is reading dead and confirmed villagers and taking their reads into account while making your own. No one else but you thought IRTM peeked me wolf. that's avoidable for sure...

looking forward for this game, can't wait for those heroes to sign up

I took the last wolf team to f3, woulda been overz if either of mine or manasi's flower hit. And thats with my terrible seer hunting(probably WOAT that game) Gah that still rustles my jimmies. Also bussing NGL on d1 bc I had the vig didn't help either.

I tried...just couldn't think of any other rational explanation for IRTM's actions...& the only person I trusted to give me honest feedback refused to read the quoted section.

IRTM said UFO is a wolf & I'm not even going to bother defending myself against your push & I'm going to go make a table because look at how much of a wolfy case UFO is making on me...

&

...IANAWW is a villager IMO.

But yeah, it's still my bad for over-factoring one thing which seemed clear to me over all the other things.

I've learned a lot from that, though & have been studying up a bit. We'll see what happens.

But to recap my destruction...

* Successfully pushed to have the seer lynched (IRTM).
* Misinterpreted his peek & as a result RB'd someone (UFO) who was angeling an obvious villager (KruZe).
* Tunneled that same incorrect peek all day (just realized it was Fraley who was ML'd not UFO, but I still associated the two & went along with that because I hated the logic behind fraley's case about UFO).
* Still thought UFO was probably a wolf the next morning, until wolfMonte shot someone & ended the game.

So yup...going to lay back more this game & get wolf read for it haha.

As a noob villager, do you think it's better to use my powerups like a leaf or ice flower or just don't bother? Should I just keep mulliganing for a fire flower?

It really depends on the gamestate.

It often won't be a relevant question. If you rand an ice flower, for example, you can choose to use it if you think a player should be roleblocked, and you then request a new power up for SOD.

Or you holster it because you want a chance to use it the next day.

Or you holster it and request a new power up for SOD, replacing that ice flower (and hoping you don't rand the exact same thing lol JMurder forever

)
