This summer teams will descend on Las Vegas to duke it out for supremacy at the poker tables.

Team will consist of players with the same given name - Team John, Team Mary, Team Jose etc.

Teams score by being the "last longer" in summer Las Vegas tournaments (WSOP, Aria, Wynn, Golden Nugget etc etc).

Your job is to tell me which team will come out on top (for $100 or 10% of my winnings this summer).

Or for more money ($300 or 30% or my summer winnings) name the winning team and the MVP.

Or for more money ($500 or 50% of my summer winnings) name the winning team, the MVP and the Women's MVP)

Enter 1, 2, 3 or all 3 or any combination of the 3.

No duplicate guesses (example: once someone picks Team Jose, nobody else can pick Team Jose).

You are allowed to change your mind in March, April and May (just one change per month).

Entries are open now and close when "cards are in the air" this summer in Vegas.

They really won't know they're part of a team (unless they read 2+2 - this is just a fantasy pool).

Team will consist of players with the same given name - Team John, Team Mary, Team Jose etc.
Team and team members will be selected by their live results from November til May.
Each team must consist of at least 2 players and 5 qualifications.
Each team can have up to 12 qualifiers.
a) 2 holdem players (2 top holdem players by payouts)
b) 2 omaha players (2 top omaha players by payouts)
c) 2 stud players (2 top stud players by payouts)
d) 2 draw players (2 top draw players by payouts)
e) 2 mixed game players (2 mixed game players by payouts)
f) 2 other game players (2 other game players by payouts)
Other games would be like Open Face Chinese or Chowaha.
So, a team can have a minimum of 2 players or a maximum of 12.
Given name is determined by Hendon Mob. Example: they call Alex Foxen "William Foxen" so William he is.
Each variation of a name is separate. Example: there might be a Team William, Team Will, Team Willy, Team Bill, Team Billy.
Two players with the same name are considered 1 player EXCEPT David Baker (David Bakes Baker is 1 player, David ODB Baker is another and any other David Bakers are yet another)
Live tournaments for team selection are from any series that has at least one non-flop tournament (or a mixed game with at least one non-flop game included).
Right now (January 24) we already have 140 teams that have qualified with 680 players.


Teams score by being the "last longer" in summer Las Vegas tournaments (WSOP, Aria, Wynn, Golden Nugget etc etc).
Here are the series that ran in 2023. We can't be sure that all will return or that some new ones might pop up.
However, once "cards are in the air", the qualifying series will be locked in place.

May 25 - Jul 19 Wynn (2023 dates)
May 28 - Jul 17 WSOP (2024 dates)
May 29 - Jul 9 Orleans (2023 dates)
May 30 - Jul 3 Golden Nugget (2023 dates)
May 31 - Jul 15 Aria (2023 dates)
Jun 1 - Jul 17 WSOP Deep Stacks (2023 dates)
Jun 15 - Jul 6 Aria High Roller (2023 dates)
Jul 15 - Jul 20 BARGE (Westgate) (2024 dates)

Last longer means to last longer than any other player on any other team.
In order to "last longer" the player must cash.
The 1st tie breaker will be the buyin for the tournament (bigger the better).
The 2nd tie breaker will be the last longer's finishing position (higher the better).
The MVP awards use the exact same scoring system.

Your job is to tell me which team will come out on top (for $100 or 10% of my winnings this summer).
Entry cost is FREE.
You get $100 (if I do not cash) or 10% of my winnings (if I do cash).
"my winnings" are the total of my payouts minus buyins in the tournaments that I cash (if any).
Payment by PokerStars transfer of Amazon Gift Certificate.

Women's MVP will use a picture or a cash in a ladies only tournament to determine gender. Not all Karens are women.

But partial duplicates are OK (example: there can be a Team Jose/Daniel Negreanu entry at the $300 level and also a Team Jose/Daniel Heimiller entry)

That way you can pick teams or players that don't qualify yet but that would be favourites if they do qualify by the time "cards are in the air".
Example: Daniel Negreanu (not on Team Daniel yet).
Example: Team Phil (neither Phil Hellmuth nor Phil Ivey are on Team Phil yet).
Example: Team Benny (Benny Glaser is on the team but they don't have the required 5 qualifications yet).

Entries are open now and close when "cards are in the air" this summer in Vegas.
"Cards In The Air" would be the date of the 1st tournament included on the list above (or what the list looks like in May).
Only WSOP and BARGE have announced their dates for 2024.
As usual I will enter myself and I will also give away entries to some of my favourite charities.
