Not sure, I know you can play the YouTube ones on laptop by clicking the link in the video description but for others I think the apps are just for phones

In one of the most recent videos he talks about a spreadsheet someone made with links to all the videos and puzzles. The video is called the complete cracking the cryptic or something.

Thanks!

I often play websudoku Evil difficulty, and kenkenpuzzle 9x9 Expert No-Op (I pay $1.99/mo for that). I play them with no note taking, otherwise it's too easy. Looking for more challenges and those 2 video ones I did were fun!

I bought their Classic Sudoku app and am working through it. It is very good.

I believe they have other apps for some of the variants. There is Chess Sudoku, Thermal Sudoku and one other I think? Essentially a separate app on Android/iDevices for those specific variants.

Once I work through Classic I'll jump onto those.

I feel like it's too much of a pain to do on the phone, and laptop would be much better. Admittedly I haven't tried on the phone yet. I did another one, that was a combination of thermal and sandwich (I've done neither before). These are really fun.

The variants tend to be simpler (not necessarily easier) to solve, because they are constructed with constraints which lead to a fairly narrow solution path. Constructing an elegant or aesthetically pleasing classic puzzle is much more difficult. Nobody enjoys solving a puzzle that requires a 13 step alternating inference chain. So, in general, the variants will tend to be more fun.

I'm really enjoying the thermal ones.

Sandwich which I feel is the least fun of their featured styles imo.

The phone app is excellent. I have been playing it for the past week, and I went to do a Cryptic App classic solve last night and it was way more tedious.

Bump bump
Love this channel! I'm decent at soduku and like number games. but these normally I find I just end up watching and go through these steps:
1. Understand the rules - not always easy
2. Understand the players logic - hard
3, Understand player putting 2 random numbers down in weird squares - wtf

I have been stuck on this puzzle for a couple days now. Restarted it several times but I keep getting to the same position and am stumped.

From Classic Sudoku app, I think it is puzzle 27. There is only one hint (about the r2 678 triple) which is pretty easy to get to without it.

Any thoughts on how to progress?

I love the channel too, but I only watch the videos with the one guy, and not with the other guy. And it makes me happy every time he says "disambiguate".

I prefer Simon's videos over Mark's most of the time.

I associate 'disambiguate' more with Mark. Because of the excitement/enthusiasm, most people prefer Simon, but I like watching Mark too.
