Surely there is something with the diagonals as well but I don't see how they make enough limitations to give me a digit.
If you look closely, the cells on the diagonals have an interesting relationship to the cells on the thermos and renban lines, taken as a whole. There is a tension that needs to be resolved.

Baccarat and Dots and Dots of Threes might be close.

I like These Arrows are a bit Dotty, and the first Arrow Sudoku.
I did hope that my anti-palindrome lines would have gotten some attention.

I remember having issues getting broken states (likely doing something wrong) each time. Haven't gone back to retry.

Which puzzles (by name) did you want more attention?

Not so much the puzzles themselves, but the concept of an anti-palindrome. I hoped it might catch on. I haven't heard of anyone else using the technique. Until today. Sort of.

I was looking around the CtC discord server. #puzzle-discussion, I think. There was a post today by Kittiaara which linked to some extensions, created by Pallando, for f-puzzles. One of them implements the anti-palindrome line as I use it. Probably, then, it was already a known concept, but little utilized.

Had an idea about vertical anti palindrome where 5 acts as a wild card. Solution exists, tricky to set

I really like this one. It is either great or lame, I'm to close to tell. I do a fair bit of leading, but there is cleverness required by the solver, too. This one might attract some CtC attention when I put it on the discord server.

Tip-toe

Standard sudoku rules.
Standard killer cage and little killer arrows rules.
Green lines are German whispers: cells along a line must differ by at least 5.

I am looking forward to that. I want to hear about the way you approached the puzzle, as well as how and when you used the various clues.

I've hit a wall on tip toe. Probably about 15% in and I'm stuck. Just based on the design and symmetry this one has a decent shot at making it to ctc.

Thank you for your optimism. So far only two people have tried it on the discord, and no names anyone would recognize. If I get one more review there, I might add it to the archive, especially if they comment on the general solve path.

If you want advice or a hint send me a picture of where you're at.

Will have to restart it later.

Spoiler:
I found parity on the lines easily, but the partitions I got stuck with

5s and parity are the keys to the start. Possibilities for some cages is the follow up.

Fresh eyes will probably help.

Tomorrow is the day. I will draw the name in the morning, after I take care of stuff around the house. Whatever I have received by the time I sit down at the computer will be eligible. Good luck, and thank you, to all who have entered.

Please remove my name from the list, I'm probably not going to touch the book if I obtain it.

Sneaking around

Standard sudoku rules apply.
Digits in cages sum to the number in the upper left corner of the cage.
Cells separated by a white dot must be consecutive.
Cells separated by a black dot are in a 2:1 ratio.
Not all possible dots are given.
The green lines are whispers lines: consecutive cells along the line must differ by at least 5.

11:50 on this one. Didn't notice it until now. Colors really help catch it early.

Let's do this!

Before I reveal, I will tell you of my methodology.

I used the RANDOM.ORG list randomizer. I used the first letter of each name to represent each of the 30 entries (including Onuzq, just because, but he wouldn't win if he came out on top). Because I wanted to avoid clumps, I entered the letters by puzzle, so that all solvers of puzzle 1 were put into the list before all solvers of puzzle 2, and so on. This was simply taken from my spreadsheet.

The 30 entries were comprised of 13 a's (ArcticKnight), 1 b (bolt2112), 4 g's (g-bebe), 3 l's (Lattimer), and 9 o's (Onuzq).

Here is the final result:

So, congratulations, ArcticKnight! Good thing you put yourself back into the running. This should save on postage since I will be shipping domestically.

I will PM AK later to finalize shipping details.

Once again, thank you to everybody to tried my puzzles. This has been a wonderful ride for me, and I do feel like I am getting better at this, thanks to all of you.

I love the idea of this one. I need you to let me know if it is any good.

Seti’s Sudoku

A team of German egyptologists were excavating near the temple of Karnak, when one of them uncovered a stele with strange engravings on it. Pictured below: the Sun God, Ra is seen through an Ankh, with cartouches identifying the Pharaoh for whom it was created – clearly Seti I, father of Ramesses the Great.

Can you solve the mystery of the carvings on the stele?

Standard sudoku, thermo, arrow, German whispers, renban rules apply.

I think it may need an extra clue or two in the solution. Sent you images where I got stuck. Nothing really stood to break symmetry without guessing a specific square and inputting 15 others along with it.

same for me.. I am stuck here (see spoiler) unless I am going to just guess... (there could be enough info to proceed, and I just don't see it)

Spoiler:
The middle line seems ok. Leading to one of C4R6 and C6R6 has to be high and the other has to be low. Not sure how to advance from there to set high/low to the whisper lines (other than guessing for one side).

What I eventually did to break it at the end

Spoiler:
Notice the thermo in column 7. Highest it can be is a 567 through some pairs in row 8. If you don't get that extreme, then the thermo starts with either a 1 or a 2.
Spoiler:
I had to bifurcate this spot as I wasn't sure where else to look:

The 567 doesn't actually work through a line of 37 squares. Forcing the thermo to start with a 1 or 2 (this reason can be left for the reader, but has to do with symmetry and whisper) which fixes the colors for the rest of the puzzle. If you need more info on the state I was at, I can pm you the image.

If there's a better way to prove that break, I would love to know what it was.
