btw, for those going for hurry up it's raid night, the level with the laser drill can be done faster by killing off all the protoss using the drill than drilling the stupid artifact thing

this your first RTS? then not bad at all, imo. theres alot of carryover from bw mechanics to sc2 mechanics + game sense type stuff. learning macro + micro basics from scratch seems super hard.

my friends and I all played BW + TFT alot, so pretty much all of us got platinum right out the gate, even though we all had NFI what we were doing. it was prob alot easier to get when the game first came out though.

just did it in my first game

won and he was quite mad

i killed his natural and all his lings while i teched to voids and i killed him right before his like 6 spores finished

It was pretty pathetic tho

my first match was against someone who was probably in bronze

the second and third matches were against the same guy who, upon looking at his replays, went this build order

supply depot-->barracks-->supply depot-->supply depot-->engineering bay-->gas-->bunker

i mothership rushed him the second game and could have easily won with just the non mothership units

A lot of newer players scout because they see good players scout and don't actually know what to look for or how to use the information they get.

FWIW, talking to my masters friends, they consider gold and plat players to be all jokes, and diamonds are all mediocre if not completely terrible.

Like I told them I went 19-3 when leveling a gold league account, and they said "WTF you lost 3 times?" and I slunk away in dejection.
