Thunderdome is just like one-on-one gladiator fights in ancient Rome....if they had sports trivia and Name That Tune in those days, that is.

I'll name a sport. The first two people (have to be on different teams) who want to enter the Thunderdome do so. Then I'll name the category and give you the number of correct answers.

One guy bids on how many he can name. The other guy can either bid higher (any increment higher) or tell the first bidder to whip it out and let's see if it's as big as you say it is....I mean, he can tell the first bidder to make his bid.

If you succeed, you win the points equal to your bid. And the other guy loses points equal to 1/3 of the bid. If you fail, you lose 1/3 and the other guy gets the bid points.
