Sports Thunderdome (2000 Hit Club) - Puzzles and Other Games Forum

The auction game has been a fairly successful, but the problem is that one team basically has to sit out once they've been outbid. So let's do a straight up thunderdome.

There are 287 players in Major League Baseball history to accumulate 2000 or more hits in their career.

Jump in any time with a single answer. The deadline will be 11:59 AM on Monday. Round two, and every round thereafter will begin at 12 Noon each day. There won't be any catch-up. If you're not in by Monday, you're not playing.

Three strikes and you're out.

yeah. This is interesting, because in the song Thunderdome you hope that your picks made the "ranking," but in this one it could be a while before you enter an area of uncertainty (depending on how well and long you have followed baseball).

Would be semi-interesting to have the tiebreaker be "fewest hits total"... that said I'd have made a rather different first choice

Everyone named so far is in the 3000 hit club. Except Jim Rice, who's tied for 118th all time, with 2452 hits.
