Pretty sure there aren’t puffins there, but maybe?
I think I remember reading something about Darwin cataloguing some birds there, but can’t remember what they were.

Galapagos is known for penguins and turtles. Prolly some other stuff too, but those for sure.

Emperor penguin does hit a lot of this stuff really well, except beach. I still think that is our best guess.

I mean, a penguin is a sea bird and beach gets us to the sea even if emperor penguins aren’t chilling on beaches.

Yeah, but wouldn't you go bird->king/galapagos instead of beach in that case? Seems quite a bit better to me.

So I’m good with b5 unless someone comes up with a better line, which is maybe possible

Yeah, and it seems like that was Nich’s point. It was dependent on knowing enough about Galapagos. So maybe deemed riskier than a beach/bird combo.

I hear you though, not sure I get to Emperor Penguin easier with beach—>quail/raven/kiwi than I do with bird—>king/Galapagos.

What about other sea birds? Though it’d be odd to single out Galapagos if we’re just going after some common seabird.

The problem is that b4 could be any number of things (book/boat/etc), and so could g9. Galapagos fits, but that could very easily be a coincidence. Guinevere fits too, and works with the royal theme.

Most likely we're on the wrong track and not even close. But if you wanna guess emperor penguin or whatever, I'm fine with it.

Yeah, there are a lot of four-letter words that start with b. I would think that b4 would need to have something even if just peripherally to do with beach (water/sea/etc), but could be way off. If it’s boat, then maybe the cruise/ocean liner thing works and ties to the royal words. If it’s bird, I can make a case for other words on the next card. If it’s neither of these then we’re just delaying the inevitable, which is bolding a word or two and being told we’re 0% of the way there.

So what do you wanna do? Emperor penguin is surely wrong, but it would at least tell us if it's a bird or not. It's kinda hard to get off these tangents once you're on them haha.

If we’re going to guess a bird, I’d much rather we guess something like seagull over emperor penguin. Beach is absolutely not top-of-mind for me when I think emperor penguin and literally everyone on the team had beach as their B5. That has to mean that, if the target word is some kind of bird, they are known for being on beaches.

It's not seagull either. Remember, ervin didn't even know what the b5 was, plus that would make galapagos wrong too. Basically no way this is a bird imo, but I'm pretty over thinking about it.

I'd be surprised if the q/k/r words are different than what we thought. I mean, how many q5s that pair with k4 can there be? But at the same time, that is supposed to give us the answer, and we still have nfi, so...

Anyway, we should probably guess something soon.

Want to just find out if it has anything to do with birds? Even what to bold there has me confused. I guess just go with emperor penguin to see if bird and/or Galapagos are on track? I know we discussed it being a bad guess based on what they chose to clue, but I don’t really have any other ideas and am just ready for the next card.
