I'll play X if you want although I understand if you turn me down based on my previous terrible performances at this game! (having said that they were mostly as detective, don't think your X game is much better )
I'm fine with that, also fine with just randing ourselves? Can easily self mod, if you want I can just send you my moves and you don't look at them til after the game (or trust me to note them and not cheat ldo)
Weird. I've been playing it by email with a friend and been using the spots from the (updated) board game. I need to try and get hold of a copy of the original game to see all the differences to the updated version. Will rand from your list now
is the one I bought and have here but yeah don't know where they sum up the rules online. We've just been playing the same rules as on 2p2 but didn't know about the start squares thing so just did what they have in the rule book. No clue if it makes it more balanced or not (you can put your lizard brain on it at some point I'm sure, squares are as I listed before)
I'd like to try a game with 4 detectives. Perhaps allowing the detectives to move in any order, start with an additional taxi ticket, and give Mr X only 4 black tickets.
To improve economy I was thinking to give the detectives the ability to exchange a ticket for another one of their choice.
The real problem in the ticket economy are the undergrounds - sometimes in endgame you lack them, sometimes you cannot get rid of them. There are usually plenty of opportunities to adjust taxi/bus ratio.
How about 4 detectives, move in any order, 2 ticket exchanges (per game, not per detective)?
