I think what I most appreciate about his song is how it does a fantastic job of going hard and being energetic without investing so much to achieve it. The quiet to loud shifts make the song fun and the vocals are excellent.
I mentioned previously that I really love different melodies being sung at the same time and that's definitely found in this song. But then you also have the various instruments not only playing their part, but blending together so well with each other. Kinda becomes more than just a song for me - it's a beautiful piece of sound. The lyrics are touching as well.
So I'm gonna assume this was for the repetitive portion of the category. Other than 'you... you... you', I'm not really sure how this is repetitive. I don't care for the song too much either.
Thank you for submitting this. I love both halves of this song but especially the first. The combination of acoustic guitar, muffled vocals, some beep boops, and keyboard doesn't seem so special on paper, but there was something super captivating about it when actually listening to it here. That section made me feel more than anything else I've listened to by far and perhaps will later. And that was before I had any idea what was actually being said because I hadn't a clue. Once I looked up the lyrics the shift to the second half made way more sense to me: it symbolizes the 'machine' element in people. So first half represents humanity and second half represents machine, I guess. That was my interpretation anyway and I appreciated that each section seemed to have an actual purpose. Regardless, that second half was a great piece of gritty noise.
I thought I was gonna score this really high before actually having to critique it, but I think this is just great rather than really great. Anyway, cute bassline.
