also, do i really need to point out that if we can prove books can buy peeks, then we should be leaving him as many points as possible to CONTINUE buying peeks, since the seer is already dead!!

I've read through all now and I'm seriously wtf @ books. He is like some superhero with an array of powers, right? And he pays "points" to purchase them?

And one is that he has magic armour and the other he finds the VP?

WTF????

books, can you explain how the role you have has disparate powers? I'm not asking you to reveal anything you'd prefer to keep hidden, just to explain roughly what function has those powers.

It's actually a fairly standard type of game role around here. It's usually called either MacGuyver or Mr. Moneybags.

MacGuyver acquires materials and can use them to do various thing. Moneybags has a bankroll he can spend out of to buy various things.

thanks jgunnip. Wow!

Well, why are we even thinking of lynching books? Surely we have to do nich and find out whether books is telling the truth? Wouldn't killing the Macguyver be really bad?

Thanks VR. I have never played in a nonstandard game, so this is all new to me.

hello people???

maybe he isnt telling us everything for a reason? just read the thread. has NICH said anything to convince you that books is lying??? shouldnt NICH be the one who is most concerned here??? doesnt it make sense, given that info and the fact that nich has been here since books posted all this, that nich is evil and books is telling the truth?
The way I see it.
1. We lynch Books, he is telling the truth and loses a power but Nich dies who is evil. Conclusion: Evil dead, power lost.

2. We lynch Nich. Books is a liar about Nich, and is some sort of tough wolf type role. Conclusion: 2 wasted lynches.

I think 1 wasted power is better then 2 wasted lynches. This is coming purely from someone who has no clue which one of them is FOS, I assume others have a better read and something else to go on... I don't really at this point.

you people keep forgetting that if books has to us his protection power today against the village, he cant use it tonight against the wolves and we lose everything he has left..

WTF? Reading that Macguyver writeup, I see some stuff about percentage chances. So is it possible that we lynch books and books actually does get killed? books, are your powers certain? Does the armour give you a chance or certainly save you?

I'm inclined to believe books at this point, I have to admit. I'm not sure which outcome is best though, if he's telling the truth. Seems to me pretty bad to kill someone who has a range of powers that can be useful for us. I'm not sure though. Can someone who's played a game with a Macguyver give us some idea of how it works?

You guys are all forgetting that:
The chances of a villager having an "avoid day lynch power" are slim to none.

It's a very common wolf power.

Nicholas hasn't claimed any role? Why? If he was a wolf wouldn't he be deviously claiming a role about now?

So here's the situation I see:

1. Books is a wolf. He has toughness (meaning, it takes two lynches to kill him).
2. Nicholas is an innocent bystander.
3. If we lynch Books with Nich in second place, we're going to lynch a good Nich and the delusional village hails Books as telling the truth, lols.
4. We probably should have Books in 1st place, and someone COMPLETELY DIFFERENT in second place.

I'll let dmk/mets/gt1t, those are the 3 people I trust right now

I think gt1t wanted to vote kristiefix or something, that's cool
[Vote Kristiefix]

kristiefix coming to the same conclusion as me is not a sign that she is a wolf
[Unvote Kristiefix]

dmk, mets, kristiefix, and gt1t: come up with a second bandwagon to books, who is not mets.

thanks

Thing is, if we're gambling, i want to know what we are risking, assuming books is not lying.

We gain a wolf on the plus side, but lose I'm not sure how much on the negative side if we lynch books and get it wrong.

And what are the negatives of lynching nichp? If books lied to save his wolfy hide, why did he pick nichp? That also worries me.

Why though? I think that post was pretty sound. It's another complication of books/nich that we should think about.
