According to the scholars at Wikipedia, an article (with the linguistic glossing abbreviation art) is a word that is used with a noun (as a standalone word or a prefix or suffix) to specify grammatical definiteness of the noun, and in some languages extending to volume or numerical scope.

In English grammar, we use the articles “a, an, the.” On occasion “some” is used as well, but not today.

Send me songs that don’t suck which meet the following requirements:

1. A song by a band with “THE” in its name

The band doesn’t need to be “The _____,” it just needs to have “the” somewhere in the name (e.g., Pedro the Lion, Florence Plus the Machine, etc.).

2. A song that starts with the word “A”

I’m looking for a song that starts with the word A, not the letter A (e.g., A Three-Legged Workhorse, A Step For Dance, etc.).

3. A song with piANo in the instrumentation

Okay, this is a stretch, but it’s my Walrus, so get off me. The song doesn’t need to be piano-driven, it just needs piano as part of the track. I’m talking piano – so keyboard synth stuff is a no for this. I want the piano to be recognizable; don’t make me go looking for it (e.g., Pheurton Skeurto, November Rain, etc.)

I was trained that generally songs have words and pieces do not. But I don’t/won’t discriminate if you want to go instrumental. Stay away from post-rock and well-known orchestral/operatic works. Not because I don’t like them, but because I want to hear new and interesting tunes.
