The Goldberg Variations are the most difficult for me to figure out the connection to the main theme.
Gould recorded the Goldberg Variations twice. In 1955 as, I believe, his debut recording (people were like Bach? Really?) and then again in 1981. In 81 he plays them so slowly and meditatively and with such sparkling clarity that you can hear each theme and variation, though of course as the piece goes on the variations become more abstract.
Anyway, it's my favorite recording of them. They also videotaped the session.
My garage door broke on Monday. I made an appointment on Tuesday to get it fixed. The guy never shows up to our appointment on Wednesday- I left several messages, he just never showed up and never contacted me about why. Then today, this ****er calls me at 6:59am. Just took out all my pent up stress on him in a voicemail over this.. If I die in an unexplained housefire, you guys know what to do
Just take it easy. Getting your first house is stressful but after six months you won't remember any of that.
The real **** times of owning a house come 7 years down the road when everything starts failing at once and you have to buy all new stuff to keep the house running
Bro, its so much worse than you imagine. I am selling my house and it's been 5 years so **** is starting to fail already (like my stupid garage door)
