My read is that filthy's image in this thread is about 50% fiction/exaggeration/letting go of feelings he knows are wrong, although I'd guess that the woeful br management portion is legit.

the good regs seem to 3bet and 4bet me a lot, even 5bet me

im not really that comfortable in 3bet pots, let alone 4 and 5bet.

this very good reg was 3betting me like crazy last night. we were playing 5handed mostly.

we were 4handed and i had 77 otb with like 3k. i opened for 80. he was in bb and made it 350 for like the 100th time. i made it 1000(my first 4bet)???? he jammed and i folded????

if a guy is 3betting too much, what kind of hands do you 4bet with? assuming you're like 200bbs deep. what kind of hands are you calling a 5bet with vs the guy who is 3betting too much?

if you think he is 4betting you light(relatively), what kind of hands are you 5betting with?

how deep to you have to be to 5bet/fold?

My plo table was kinda weird yesterday. Zero 3bets in the hour that i played. Pretty passive table and i was getting max value from my hands. Looking back i prob shouldve played longer..

when i moved up to 3/5 i was sure everyone was way better than i was, and just about every single one of them was a lot worse..... like a lot a lot.

generally speaking, they are better than 1/2 players. there is a little bit of thought from your opponents about what kind of hand you might have sometimes. there are probably a few pros. but you will still see plenty of really bad players making horrible mistakes.

It took me a long time to move up to 2/5, partly because I was absolutely destroying 1/2 and it seemed like variance free easy money, also because I felt some of the 2/5 guys must be really good, from talking to them. My experience has been there are some local grinder pros who are competent, but almost none of them are amazing, I feel like the best player 95+% of the time.

I might be going to Parx pretty soon.
