flop comes 7-4-3

I check, big blind checks, limper bets 5, 2 other limpers call 5, last limper raises to 25. I'm a cool cat so I call. the big blind and next two ppl fold, then the last caller shoves for ~100. the guy who made it 25 thinks and then jams for 300.

lolfold because you are in for $3

folding for the $25 would be plausible

lol live pros and lol limpers withstanding

limper bets 5, two limpers call, limper raises to 25

that is 4 limpers against you

74os vs 4 preflop limpers!!! is pretty weak. If you merge those 4 limpers, at least 1 person has a flush or a set a very high % of the time imo.

Which is why you shouldn't play 47o. You hit a dream flop and still end up folding.

Played 2-5 last Saturday had 47o three times in the first couple of hours, folded all of them, would have flopped 1 boat and turned another boat. Both times would have gotten good action. Did I miss anything by not playing the hands? I think not.

but did you have them in the sb following 4 limpers?

anyway, that argument is sort of bad. would you fold 10-J from the small blind? the flop could easily come 9-10-J or 7-10-J and you might have to fold a "dream flop"

JT is a whole lot more playable than 74

of course it is, duh. but on the particular issue of "dream flops" that akdad brought up, J-10 is actually more likely to be beaten on a dream flop than 7-4 is

Everything can be beaten if you go into hypotheticals

JT9 is not a dream flop for JT

JT hits a lot more hands that can win small pots since it can make top pair a lot more often than 47o. And yes I fold JT from the small blind a lot, even when I'm playing 1-2 waiting for a seat at 2-5. At 1-2 I would rather plat ATC in position than marginal hands oop.

Therein lies the problem.

You were right this time but there will be just as many times where you'll see similar action and fold your top 2, and see the people turn over a flush draw and TPTK or an over pair and you make a terrible fold.

doubt it. the $300 shover was the 4th limper so honestly hed have to be pretty awful to have limped with anything higher than 88 and 99 and tbh he should raise pre with those also. and A7? no way
