And I have had 2k+ swings in my roll in those 6 months (I mean 2k up and down within a matter of 2 weeks or so). I think for $50 DoNs and $50NL that counts as variance. But you high stakers can feel free to keep dissing me.

traz- where were you the entire month of december when all I was doing was bitching about the ridiculous downswing/break even stretch I was going through with the DoNs. I may not understand variance at your levels in pure monetary terms but in terms of number of buy-ins or betting units, I have become well acquainted.

I have enough points for the bose ipod dock on stars. Has anyone gotten that? My brother says its supposed to be pretty nice and I imagine it is since bose speakers are indeed the shiznit.

Yeah, I got this. I cant really compare it to any other docking station, but I am a big fan of it.

Man today just sucks big time. ITM 40% over 75 DONs. I have had so many dominated aipf hands run me down and tons of coolers. (Twice I have lost with two card underfulls.)

I know I have had a couple of suck outs myself, but it sure seems horribly imbalanced so far today. (I really wish the EV stuff in HEM worked for tourney hands.)

I'm pretty sure Stars doomswitches the good players after a certain number of DoNs and helps out the ****ty players to make sure they don't bust their role.

lol at him putting in 5 bets with that hand. When somebody (who isn't a complete maniac) draws 2 and then c/rs against a pat on a big street, that hand is never a marginal hand

I would never show up with a 9 there just because I'm getting 3 bet so much, so his hand has no value at all vs my range and could actually be mucked on the turn, but instead he puts in 4 more bets

I'm annoyed because you can't get the $1500 bonus as a mere platinum so I'll either have to wait a few months to become a nova and get the $4000 bonus or get $650 bonuses for 50,000 FPPs each. Obviously it's better to wait from a value perspective, $750 difference for the same number of FPPs, but it would be nice to be able to add a pretty solid bonus to the cashouts, or to help replenish the roll on a downswing, instead of waiting to take a huge bonus. 250,000 points is just a ****load that would take forever to grind out. I think that if I keep going and get to Nova I'll probably just take the $1500 since that could be earned with a solid month. You lose $250 per 250,000 FPPs doing that, but it seems like the consistency would be more important.

posting this hand because TEX7's (he is a 2p2er) river c/r is without a doubt the weirdest raise I have seen. I was so confused that I had to stop and think about it before 3 betting. Trying to think about just what my 3 betting range is there.

one more hand I just played that I'm actually quite proud of because I'm really working on saving money in these spots when I'm pretty sure I'm beat but can't fold. Against a lot of players I would be raising the turn but the tempo that the flop got capped at was scary and I don't have any history with that guy.
