i opened AT 40 from mp. btn called and bb called. both players seemed really bad. flop AK4r i bet 60 and they both called. turn 4. bb checked and i bet 200 to get them off a chop. btn folded and bb called. river 9. bb checks and i put him all in for 400. he calls. and i show my AT and he mucks!!!

i'm pretty sure he had Ax and didn't understand it was a chop

if we're playing the bad beat game then I was once knocked out of a tournament AIPF 3 way with QQ vs QQ vs AA and the aces had my suits covered.

I watched a guy at my final table a few years ago lose with KK aipf vs TT and TT.

Spoiler:
And he flopped a king too.

i had $600 to my name. decided to take a shot at the sunday millions obv. i get in the money with a pretty big stack and have QQ flop Q72r in a 3bet pot and somehow this guy tries to bully me or something. he puts me all in with JJ and hits running jacks. pot was probably worth 50k or something. and my life roll was $600

I got it all in for 100000k on the flop, or so I thought, turn and River were bricks, guy complains he had 20$ in white behind to bet, floor rules we get a new River and I lose.

Horrendous call by the floor.

Other guy should have protected his action.

I spent the whole summer in Vegas without playing any WSOP. Barely played poker in months. I feel like my game is fine when I play but I've been fighting depression and illness hardcore.

Should make an inspirational comeback story when I bink the Main next year.

Winning the main isn't the comeback. It's getting out of bed every day and realizing

Yeah getting out of bed every day is the hardest part tbh.

That's an angler's dream ruling. So incredibly exploitable.

Since we're talking bad beats, I dealt this hand a few years ago. 10/25 with a 50 button straddle. There's some raising, calling, and folding pre-flop.

Flop comes AK6

Wealthy rec player in seat 1 bets pot. Professional in seat 5 re-pots. Wealthy rec player goes all-in. Professional says, "You've got me, I thought you were weak, but now I have to call." They agree to run it twice.

Wealthy rec player turns over KKQ10
Professional player turns over 6789

First board runs out 35
Second board runs out 8J

That didn't actually happen to me a guy told me it happened to him in Cherokee. Seemed unlikely to be lying

pokerstars have introduced a new cash out feature in their cash games where a player can cash out their equity when they get it all in.

I'm really confused as to how this works as a situation happened when I'm donking around in 10nl and I get it all in with QQ vs AK. He cashes out before the flop and I don't. He goes on to win the hand. Do I get my 10$ back or does my stack go to pokerstars as rake? If it's the latter as I suspect it's really shitty.

You should drive for Uber instead.

Why is that shitty? If this is reasonably designed at all:
We imagine the (essentially) 50/50 flip. Both times RiskAverse1985 cashes out his equity. In both situations PS pays him 50% of the pot regardless of the outcome (it's probably 50% * 99% becasue they are selling this feature for 1% or something). PS is now down 99% of the pot size. When you win, you win the entire pot. When you lose, the entire pot goes to PS.

They are acting as an intermediary for RA1985 and smoothing his winnings for a nominal fee. And it doesnt affect your win rate.

What happens if he cashes out, you don't, but you go on to win the hand? Does he get his 50% and you get 100%? Does PS pony up the difference, or do you only win your 50% preflop equity?

Yes, Pokerstars loses the difference.
The idea is just to profit off the 1% fee in the long run.

every time you chop equity you pay 1%?
Post Crazy Poker Happenings to Share with Poggers here Quote
08-22-2019 , 06:29 PM
Yes. 1% of you equity, not the total pot, ofc.

So, if you go all in with 80% on a $100 pot and decide to cashout, you get 79,20.
If the other player decides to go for it and loses, PS makes 20,80.
If he wins, PS loses the 79,20 they paid to the loser.
If both cashout, PS makes 1 dollar they had no business making.

Only being introduced in low stakes for now. I don't see the higher stakes pros ever using this.
