Fold to a shove seems alright. Probably shove blanks.

I guess call is alright if awful player does awful stuff. Maybe better since he won't think about what we're calling with.

First hand I fold to the squeeze. I also might just limp along instead of raising and just play bingo.

On the flop, he bets so small so calling is fine with a pair and backdoor clubs.

I don't see what you're trying to accomplish by betting the turn, I would check with showdown value.

River I have no clue, after how the other streets were played.

Second hand I could see 3 bet folding on the flop but calling is probably ok.

yeah, i think 3b fold is probably better, but i opted to fold in hand 2. didn't want to get into a sticky spot not really knowing where I was at against the button.

River was pretty easy given preflop/flop action imo.

Played this hand at 5-10 on Friday.

Effective stacks about $1,900.

I have JJ in cutoff. Decent but too loose player opens in Lojack for $35, he has been opening about 30-40% of hands folded to him which is typical, we have played together a lot.

I three bet to $105, the button calls, he is an unremarkable player who isn't great but doesn't usually make big mistakes.

Opener 4-bets to $465, I call after some thought. I figure my hand is strong enough to play post-flop in position against the 4-better and I figure the button can't be too strong. Somewhat surprisingly, the button calls after some thought.

Flop ($1,410) is Q 9 5, I have the J .

4-better shoves, its $1,430 for me to call and the button is yet to act and it would be over $2,000 for him to call.

Is that fourbet sizing normal for him? Would he expect you to have a shoving range preflop with that action? I'm no expert on 200bb preflop play but I'm thinking I'd flat that huge fourbet with my entire continuing range and then I'd call his flop shove with QQ and AA (and AhKh I guess) and fold the rest.

Pretty sure I'm folding this flop without some super sick reads. Might even fold preflop to the 4bet. lollivepoker

Fold flop seems easy enough. Unless he is jamming lots of ak off.

His 4 bet sizing was pretty normal with one over-call and being out of position.

I called figuring he wouldn't shove QQ. Button tanked a bit and folded. River was an Ace and he showed AK off.

Without history with him, I think it was a fold.

I played Pineapple Open Faced Chinese Poker with my 10-year old son today. We used my real chips and cards, but I started us off with different stack sizes:
He started with $120
I started with $100
$1 per point (obviously playing for fake currency)

I was up about $70, when he got to Fantasy Land and stayed for 4 more hands. Quads, straight flush, trip Qs on top, and another quads.

I ended up $21.

900? lol how the **** did they come up with that number? "$1000 for a royal flush! no wait! we can save $100! let's say $900. who's gonna complain? but not 800. that is too cheap"

My guess is that it makes more sense if you start at the low end of the HH payouts for "what's the minimum award we can give that doesn't feel like an insult" and scales up from there

either that or it's a $100 that keeps rolling over until someone wins it

so what they did was immediately give you 500$ to add to your stack, and then you are at the top of their 'high hand' promo, which ends at 4am (i hit my royal at 2am)

and yes, i waited until 4am to collect the other 400$ and managed to not lose much of my stack in the 2 hour interim (in 150$ --> out 1k$ + 400$)

Real crazy poker happening.

Playing in a Pokerstars Platinum Pass event.

Seven left at the final table and I'm second in chips, with about 25% of the chips in play.

Probably cursed myself by posting this.
