i have quads. other guy goes all in. i call. dealer says i have to show first. i say "no, i called him he has to show". he shows his boat, then i show my quads. table goes nuts. one guy not in the hand insults me for the next 10 minutes
when idiot/*******s insult me it doesn't bother me in the least. i like it more than i dislike it
the only guy who was really mad was the guy not in the hand, and he was a total douche. i made him fold after he check raised me in an earlier hand, and he was upset i wouldn't tell him what i had.
the same guy was the meanest i've ever seen anyone be to a dealer, calling her stupid over and over. that was a couple months ago
Played 2-7 Triple Draw live for the time ever yesterday. I played once or twice online pre-Black Friday. First hand UTG I raise 2226A get at least 3 calls. Throw the A, get a 6, bet two callers, pat the next two draws and bet each time. Only one caller for the third draw who folds. I ask if a full house is good and show.
The next hand I call two bets in the BB with 752, draw 2 catch a 4, bet draw 1 miss, bet draw one, catch a 3, bet get two callers and proudly turn over a wheel. But I have all Hearts for a Flush, whoops. Did I mention I never played this game live before.
On another note Grag Raymer was standing behind me when this happened. I listened to him explain to the person he was talking to how I was "snowing" in the first hand. I didn't hear what he said about the fish who didn't realize that a fush was no good.
The royal flush of triple draw is always a nightmare but i think it's only happened to me once. It's always something to be cognizant of when deciding which cards to discard.
I'm not sure i would be snowing 2226, since the game is loose, you'll be oop, and as a new player to the game who has never played nobody is going to respect you...idk. also you don't really want a bluffy image either so i wouldnt have showed, as you need to get away with stuff like that regularly.

All true, but it was low stakes $7.50-$15 and I'll probably never play it again.
Having thought more about that 2226 hand, i actually think if you're going to play it as a snow just i would rather just pat it the whole way
It significantly weakens your range and at least online encourages people to play back at you, but that probably isn't the case as much live. Since you were called in multiple spots by bad players, i think patting immediately will look stronger to them and encourage them to give up earlier perhaps.
