Just saw Jason Mercier lose HU in PLO, watched a bit of the High Roller. I actually have met a few of the people still left -- Anthony Zinno and Paul Volpe are Borgata regs.

Poker is such a bad spectator sport rho

Used to live right down the street from Derby. Have you played there much yet? Very different vibe than Hard Rock. I cut my teeth there back when the biggest game they could run was straight $2 LHE. Tourney buy-in was $45, the split of which was a ridiculous $32+$13.

Looking forward to reading your updates.

I haven't been there yet. I'm sure I'll recognize people because a lot of the regs at hard rock play there too.

I probably should have just asked but for some reason I wanted to try to figure it out.

The game behind me was omaha hi lo but it appeared to be a limit game. There were 10 people playing and it sure looked nitty compared to the PLO game I railed. Is limit omaha a thing?

I've heard people say that LO8 is a more reasonable game than plo8, because in the latter the fish just get carved up faster than in almost any game.

I may give it a try to get my feet wet. Crowding 10 people around a table isn't very appealing, though.

I just got 2-outered in a massive pot where this guy jams on me with one pair when I always have it.
Vegas games confirmed great

Finally get to contribute to this thread.

Playing 1-2 at Mohegan today with Wesrwood. We started a new table and I got Aces within the first few hands on a Kxxxx board and got 2 streets of value.

Later, I limp-call Q6dd. Wesrwood raises, fish in SB calls, other fish calls (me).

Pot: 46
QTx (2 diamonds) and we check around (thought Wes was good).

Turn is a blank, checks to Wes who bets $20, fish raises to $60, I call, Wes calls.

River: As and we check around. SB fish shows small diamonds, Wes shows AJ (no diamond) to scoop.

I hovered around $350 for a while when I got some rungoot. I open-raise in MP with QTo to 10, Wes calls, SB calls, BB ($250) calls.

Flop: AJx. SB checks, BB donks $20, I call, Wes and SB fold.

Turn: 8h. BB bets $25, I call.

River: 9h (3rd heart). BB check, I bet $90, he calls and shakes his head.

Wes leaves, I move over a seat to my left and BB moves to my right.

EP limps, button limps, SB limps, I raise AKo to $15. 2 folds and SB shoves for about $100, I call and my AK > AQ.

Sitting on about $600 now.

I played a couple of hands that I should get some input on. One is extremely trivial, but I still don't know how to play it.

Trivial Hand
I'm in the BB with KJo. Nit to my left limps UTG (~$150) and nit in LP (~$200) limps, too. I check my option (covering both).

(Pot $7) Flop: K67r. I bet $5, both nits call.
(Pot $20) Turn: 5. I check, nit checks, other nit bets $15, we both call.
(Pot $62) River 8. I check, nit checks, other nit bets $25, we ______.

Rare Hand
Nit #2 (~$250) from previous hand limps, nit #3 ($125) to my right (who hasn't played a hand yet) raises to $14. I have TT and call. SB ($200) calls and is a bit loose, passive. Sticky. Nit #2 folds.

(Pot $41) T62 (2 spades). SB checks, nit #3 bets $14 again. With top-set, we ____.

Thanks in advance.

rare hand: I'd flat.

Trivial hand - raise pre I think. As played, I don't know, probably fold. It's really that or raise big and rep the straight I think. You call these people nits, but I bet they are limping way too many hands pre, which is why you should raise pre when it's limped to you with KJ there.

H1 I'd probably make the decision based an watching him play. I would guess you are behind but alot of 1/2 players will bet weak kings here. I'd probably call and hand him chips.

H2 call. He'll keep firing.

Yeah, this is why I said disregard my first post. I was in the car and didn't have time to elaborate.

This is a pretty damn good spot to bluff. Put him all in imo.

Trivial Hand, I figured I was behind, so I folded. I felt like such a bitch. I really felt I should have called and passed the chips his way.

Rare Hand, I raised to $40 to fold out flush draws and the nit folded JJ. I felt like such a bitch.

All in all, I wanted to make sure I was thinking properly at the table today. For the most part, I feel I did. I had a plan for the hands I played. I feel I sized my bets well.

More action to come eventually. Tomorrow is a golf day (and a haircut) for this teacher.
