Teams To Consider: MEIHELEN BELGIUM
This one showed up on the "Zahida" picks and it looked familiar. Yes, this is the home of Bart Lybaert who had 9 cashes last year including 3rd in the Marathon and 24th in the Main Event.

Teams To Consider: CAMBRIDGE MASSACHUSETTS
And here's one from my picks that I hadn't considered before it showed up on my list. It turns out that Cambridge is home to Aditya Prasetyo. He min-cashed in the 10K HORSE and 10K Dealer's Choice last year. I'll be hoping for a little better results this year.

Another "Zahida" pick. This looks like the poor man's Coeur D'Alene. A 2 player team that cashed 11 times last year. Nothing outstanding about these cashes except that Brett Bader did cash in triple draw. OK on a quickpick but I wouldn't recommend spending a whole $1 on them.

12 is a lot of cashes for one year at the WSOP. Thomas Taylor did that. One of the 12 was the Main Event. However, his best finish of the 12 was 6th in Razz. For a high price only.

Teams To Consider: MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA
You get "old timer" and former WSOP ME champ Joe Hachem. Also, you get Robert Campbell who is probably Australia's best mixed game player. However, he doesn't cash all that often - possibly doesn't stay for the whole series?

Teams To Consider: NHA TRANG VIETNAM
Most Vietnamese born players are playing for their American hometown because place of birth is only "Vietnam". Here's an exception. Pick Nha Trang and get the 1-2 punch of Scotty Nguyen and JC Tran.

I've updated the top player and top city lists. The main difference is that I've added "number of cashes" and "number of ME tickets" to each total. I've also included those cashes that I missed from event #52 and I've included all the cities, not just top 200.

Hmmm, most odd. I see over 2500 views for this thread but the only entries I've received are from people in my home game. I realize that most are waiting til May before making their picks but 2500 views without any quickpicks at all? I'm thinking it may be: who is this guy and can I trust him with my $20?
xander biscuits held the money last year but he's gonna have his hands full this year so cannot help. that_pope held the money in 2017 but he's an American so cannot use PokerStars. PokerCrazy94 offered to help but he seems to be in the same situation as me: no previous experience at this.
Any ideas?
Or I could be wrong about why there are no entries from 2+2. Let me know your thoughts on this and any suggestions for improvements or solutions.

Almost forgot, I did run pools over on the "Chip Me Up" site years ago. That site is mostly for staking players so my pools never took off. However, you can see what I was doing and see that there were no complaints. I used the same name as here.

Another 200 views but still no clue as to why 2+2ers aren't entering the pool. I'll keep soldiering on!

I remembered that xander biscuits had an entry form last year. I checked with xander to find out how the form was created. Thanks xander.

So, I've created an entry form.

But not being one to leave well enough alone, I've gone one farther and created an entry by questionnaire form. This is for people who want to save time. Instead of doing all the work yourself, you just answer some questions on how you would proceed with your selection process. Then the computer will create a custom list for you based on your answers and select the 20 teams from there.

Anyone want to test drive these forms and let me know of any problems you see?

A whole truckload of players but no big standouts. 153 cashes will drive the price down due to quickpicks. Best player could be Melanie Weisner.

Teams NOT to Consider: SAN JOSE (COSTA RICA or CALIFORNIA)
I looked up which team got the most cashes without a single deep run (ME ticket) and it was San Jose (California). On the other hand you could take the one in Costa Rica and get Humberto Brenes. The problem with that is that it is no longer the 1990s. But you would get a better price than for the one in California.

Teams NOT to Consider: DETROIT MICHIGAN
There's only one player left from Detroit. His name is Joseph Niskar. He has a grand total of 1 lifetime WSOP cash: 883rd place in The Giant. I wouldn't take Detroit even if they gave me a million to 1 odds.

Teams To Consider: KIEV UKRAINE
They've got some name players (Katchakov, Dovzhenko, Kovalchuk) who have seen better days. They've also got the guy who finished 8th in last year's Main Event: Artem Metalidi. For a big price only.

Teams To Consider: INDIANAPOLIS INDIANA
Home of the current WSOP Main Event champ. 19 players on this team and 5 cashed in the Main Event. However, doesn't look like a team that makes many deep runs. One way they might win: John Cynn starts splashing some of that 8 mil around by buying into the 10+K tournaments. Hint: He just finished 4th in Rio in a 25K buyin.

So, how many tournaments will Sean Winter enter this year? Your answer to that will likely determine whether you pick Jacksonville as one of your teams.

Teams To Consider: JERUSALEM ISRAEL
Here's another one of my picks. It looks like this one was picked based on Eli Elezra's 8 cashes for 411K. That's an improvement over his zero cashes in 2017. This is where getting your picks early comes in handy: do you really want to pick Jerusalem and have to share the $1000 with me? Wouldn't you rather pick something where you'd get the full amount? I guess it depends on how much you like Eli's chances this year.

Just a few more days left to get your "QuickPick" entries in and recorded before May.
I'll be away on vacation from April 11-May 7 inclusive so won't have the quickpick generator or the odds recalculater with me. You can enter during that time but your entry will not be recorded til May 8th.

That's 5 tickets sold at my home game and zero from the whole 2+2 community.
Of course this was a "quickpick", I'm sure most 2+2ers are waiting til May to make their own selections.

I filled in your "Entry by questionnaire" and shipped you $20USD on PokerStars

Am I in or do I need to do something else? When and how do I find out my team?

I'm pretty sure that this rule setup is great from an economist's point of view but I'm kinda lost still as to how this all works.

Thanks Xander. Well, you've done the hard part: filled in the questionnaire. Now you watch the WSOP results come in and hope to get a lot of your players into the Main Event last longer. Of course, you would prefer the ones that will pay $1000 not the ones that will pay $75. There are no calculations involved in selecting the winner so it should be easy to follow.

BTW, did you want you picks shown here (I assumed everyone would) or just message them to you?

I'll definitely run your questionnaire before I leave on vacation tomorrow so you'll have plenty of time to check them over.
