Teams To Consider: CALGARY CANADA
Team Calgary is led by Daniel Ospina. He had a 1st and a 3rd last year and then also cashed in the Main Event. But in 2016 and 2017 he didn't cash at all. So.....

Teams To Consider: SCHAFFHAUSEN SWITZERLAND
They have only one player and he cashed only once last year. Doesn't sound good. However, this player is Greg Mueller and he finished 7th in the 50K PPC. If you get a good price?

Teams To Consider: MILWAUKEE WISCONSIN
It's another team I got with my quickpick. Two main players from Milwaukee. Mike Shin finished 12th in the 2016 Main Event - did not cash in 2017 - cashed 10 times in 2018. Much more reliable (and dapper) is Tony Dunst.

Teams To Consider: EL PASO TEXAS
One of the "homegame" quickpicks. Nobody looks too dangerous here except Todd Brunson. He plays the 10Ks and the Main Event. And cashes.

Teams To Consider: LONG BEACH NEW YORK
A good strategy is to look for recent winners: they'll be flush with cash. Bryn Kenney won the Aussie Millions Main Event this year. So it looks like this high roller is not adverse to playing the large field events. He'll be ably supported by this brother Tyler and 6 time casher (including the Main Event) Alexis Gavin.

Teams To Consider: NEW HAVEN CONNECTICUT
Another player who should be flush with cash is recent LAPC Main event winner David "ODB" Baker. The problem: he's the entire New Haven team. For a high price only.

Teams To Consider: PARIS FRANCE
The winner of the huge 25K Players Championship at the PCA is not eligible for this year's pool because he did not cash at the WSOP in 2018. However, the 2nd place finisher did. Julien Martini cashed 7 times at the WSOP last year and then won almost $3M at the PCA. He's also supported by a large cast of Parisians with a lot of talent. Expect a low price on this one.

Teams To Consider: TAIPEI CITY TAIWAN
So, who won the LAPC high roller? Maria Ho. Not much of a high roller however, just 276K for 1st. Also joining Maria on Team Taipei will be Kitty Kuo and 7 time casher Pete Chen.

Teams To Consider: ATLANTA GEORGIA
When you look at the Atlanta team you'd think it was in California: a lot of players but not much talent. Top player would be Cary Katz who won the Aussie Millions 100K high roller. I think it's best to pass on this one.

Teams To NOT Consider: NEW TAIPEI TAIWAN
Before we get off the topic of Taipei, let's look at New Taipei. This appears to be the area that surrounds the city of Taipei. With New Taipei you get Chen An Lin who cashed 8 times last year including the Main Event. However, his cashes were in the lower buyin NLH events so there is only faint hope here. Pass.

Teams To Consider: PALMDALE CALIFORNIA
An 8 player team with 2 main threats. Jordan Cristos finished 69th in the Main Event last year. "Angry" John Monnette had an off year in 2018 but if he's back in form he could be dangerous.

Teams To Consider: OMAHA NEBRASKA
How can you ignore the city that gave its name to poker's best game! Omaha is led by Ryan Phan who cashed 5 times last year including 11th in the Main Event. The problem: he plays only NLH. OK pick if you get a good price.

Teams To Consider: AUSTIN TEXAS
Force in numbers: a 57 player team. Nobody outstanding. Their best player last year was Lars Gronning who cashed 5 times with an 8th in 10K stud.

Teams To Consider: NORTHBOROUGH MASSACHUSETTS
Home of Jesse Martin. He's almost certain to get a ticket to the Main Event last longer because he plays all the 10K non-flop tournaments. But he won't get much help from the other 2 guys on his team.

Team NOT to Consider: LONDON UK
Maybe a controversial stance but I can't recommend this squad. A 57 player team so will show up on a lot of quickpicks and so the price will be low. And all their best players are one trick ponies: play NLH only. Pass.

Team NOT to Consider: PORTLAND OREGON
Another city with a ton of players but no big names. The "hometeam" quickpick already has 2 shares in Portland so payoff will probably be small if they win. Pass. Player with most name recognition: Esther Taylor-Brady.

Team To Consider: NEW YORK NEW YORK
A ton of players and a ton of talent (and John-Robert Bellande). Jake Schwartz led New York with 11 cashes in 2018 including a 10th in 10K HORSE and 250th in the Main Event.
It'll probably go off at a low price but it just might be worth it.

Teams To Consider: BROOKLYN NEW YORK
Speaking of New York City, Brooklyn also has a ton of player with talent. I'd say New York City has more talent but if you're getting a good price on Brooklyn then go for it. One of Brooklyn's best: Perry Friedman.

Team NOT to consider: BORING OREGON
Really? That's the best name they could come up with for this town? It's the home of the 5th place finisher in the Ladies Event: Jacqueline Burhart. She moved to Boring from Coeur D'Alene. If she cashes this year we'll move her back. We promise.

Teams To Consider: BAD HOMBURG GERMANY
Another one-horse town. The horse in question here is Manig Loeser. Last year he cashed 9 times turning 70K into 386K (including cashing the Main Event). You could do worse.

Teams To Consider: BELL GARDENS CALIFORNIA
Wanna bet on the old timers? There are a couple of cousins from Bell Gardens who've been around forever. Men "The Master" Nguyen and David "Dragon" Pham combined for 12 cashes last year. Look for a good price.

Teams NOT to Consider: BERLIN GERMANY
A powerhouse squad with one problem: they all seem to be flop game players only. Probably will show up on a lot of quickpicks so price will be low. They have a shot so check out the price but I think it'll be too low. Top player: Rainer Kempe.

Ooops! While checking Dan Zack's 2018 results I noticed that event #52 was missing from my data. I won't change anything because tickets have already been sold. Players that I discussed earlier who cashed in #52 were Benny Glasser, Maria Ho and John Hennigan.
Here are the complete event #52 results.

Teams To Consider: PRINCETON NEW JERSEY
It was while checking Dan Zack's 2018 results that I realized that I was missing event #52. Dan had 3 top-10 finishes in 10K tournaments. So, he would have earned 3 entry tickets to the Main Event last longer. The problem: he's the only player on Team Princeton so there was nobody to share them with.
