As you may know, I am running a "Pogcathlon" where players can play as many different competitions as they want & earn points for their success in each one.

I'm not really a paint expert, so I'm just going to completely steal spurs' format from THIS thread (reveal thread HERE).

I am definitely willing to take good sabotage/twist suggestions, though.

Basically all you need to do right now is sign up & request Paint/Describe/Either.

This will be the second MS Paint Team Battle after last year's battle of Best Korea vs Other Korea!

The basic principles of the game remain the same, but this time it is also a strategy game with power roles for some describers. It is still based on the standard paint chain game, and painters/vanilla describers can largely ignore the added strategy aspects.


Power roles:

Wordsmith: You must write two different 10-word descriptions for the next painter. You cannot use the same word in both descriptions. The next painter chooses description A or B before seeing either one, and only receives the chosen description

Word-changer: You get to change one word from your rival's description. You do not see their description, but choose the number of the word (1-10) and your replacement for it (eg. "Change 3rd word to banana")

Word-inserter: Similar to the word-changer but you do not take out a word from your rival's description (eg. Insert the word "banana" as the 3rd word). Their team's next painter will receive 11 words and know one is a phony

Jumbler: After you have sent your own description, you will intercept your rival's description and can change the word order of their description any way you like before it reaches their next painter

Saboteur: After you have sent your own description, you will intercept your rival's description, but you will only receive the 10 initials (first letters) of their words. You will use these initials to create another description to be sent to the next rival painter. The painter receives two descriptions, and must paint only one; his/her decision will be aided by a random snippet of the previous paint (think of one box revealed in the game-show Catchphrase)


All power roles describe as normal in addition to their powers. It is important not to spew your role in this thread, or any other potentially game-breaking info please. I'll be happy to answer any questions by PM and will instruct each player accordingly.


All descriptions, paints, powers, etc are to be PMed to me alone. Do not PM the next person in the chain


Your team wins by outscoring the opposition. Points are awarded for the following:

• Judge(s) choosing which final paint is most similar to starting image
• Judge(s) choosing your paint or description as superior to the opposing team's player of the same position
• Best overall paint
• Fastest paint (from time sent by me to when it is received back)
• Unspecified entertainment bonus
• Avoiding power role traps from the other team (eg. If you receive a description of 11 words and you don't paint the added phony word, you earn bonus points)

Entry is open to all. "IN" below as usual and please specify any preference you have to paint or describe, and also if you would rather have your go asap or later in the game if necessary.

The chain will not start until the teams have been randed, and power roles assigned. I will make everything clear by PM what you have to do in your role so don't worry, it won't be difficult.
