Maybe UK thing. It definitely has different parts that taste different & are prepared different ways.
I love dark meat chicken & only eat white meat chicken when obligated to.
Wangz, legs & thighs all taste different & are all delicious.

On that point bacon is different depending on location like Irish bacon and cabbage is a meal of a thick cut of bacon, I mean like 4 inches thick. Danish is also half an inch whereas American is thin as paper and fried to death
But those come with a specific part of the chicken. They don't just drop a chicken on your plate.
