This is the first attempt to play an upcoming game called Wavelength on POG. It’s another word game like Codenames or Chameleon, but this one is a game of degrees.
2 teams. Each round one team has one member as the word giver. They are given 2 extremes as the categories, such as hot/cold or hygienic/unhygienic along with a target area on the dial. They then post a clue (word or even a short phrase allowed).
Their team then debates in the thread how far to turn the dial on the spectrum. Once they agree, the other team determines if they think the real area is to the right or left of the needle.
We then reveal and the guessing team gets points based on how close they are to the right area. The other team gets 1 point on if they were right on which side of the needle the area was.
For example:
Here some examples of clues you might give to guide your team towards the slightly immature part of the spectrum:
typing 58008 into a calculator
Giggling when you hear the word “Uranus”
Monty Python
Scoring:
Right on is 5 points, 3 points for being 1 away and 1 point for 2 away; 0 for anything else.
Because we can’t physically turn the dial on POG, I’ll post an updated image of the dial with 27 sections and you can give your answer as which of those sections you want to put the needle on.
