If you think The Office was never good then we just don’t agree on sitcoms.

Objectively, it’s the most watched show on Netflix and the most valuable US rights and also the only show I’ve watched from 1 to 201 at least 10 times and continue to do 1-2 times every year.

With this pick as my service’s anchor, I am guaranteed to have a podium number of subscribers even if I waited until after the draft to make my final 9 picks, so from a subscribers point of view it’s the top pick.

It’s also the most memeable show, which can be connected to almost everything...I show a ton of restraint not posting office images in POG 50x more often than I do, as at least 1-2 things per day have a related scene or line.

I had Simpsons and GoT on my radar for round 2 picks.

Seinfeld was up there also for a backup.

So I’d say those are the 3 best picks other than mine so far

For my pick, I'll take NFL games, which appears to be valid based on the sports question in the sign up.

At it's peak, the NFL had 110+M people watch the Superbowl one year. That's 1/3 of every living man, woman and child in the US.

In addition, the sport has been around for ~100 years, and even if we only take the years after they merged with the AFL, we still have 70+ years of football games to watch. MY viewership will include the 100k+ fans that go to games each week, but instead can now watch it on my service.
There's a good chance that the 120k+ people who have the NFL network will sign up, just as replacement for that. While we won't have the commentary from some of the major networks (Fox Analysts, CBS Analysts, etc would not come with the broadcast), we still have the games them self. Flagship program that will appeal to a huge portion of the American population.

The ability to rewatch any game you want, from any era is amazing.

My first reaction to this, based on thoughts I've had around similar things, is that you can't take a class of sporting events (like, all NFL football games), but that you can take a definable "series" (like Monday Night Football). Sorry for naming [undrafted], but I can't figure out how else to make my point

people who go to games now could have stayed home and watched it instead...why would they not go because it's on your streaming service?

I mean, there is NFL Ticket now and there is NBA League Pass now as streaming services, so there is some reason to allow the full league

I personally would have just not had sports included in the draft, but now that they are, it's likely allowable

I don't think it should be allowed. Way too comprehensive.

If we're limiting bolt's Star Wars to just 3 movies, then there's no way "all NFL games" is kosher.

I actually feel like having actual sports in is meh, but if they are allowed I'm taking the best.

Every NFL game can be watched by local fans without going to the game.

Sure. So you're saying that 100k of the people might not watch. That's all well and good. Literally 10M+ people watch football every week. I'll survive if 100k of them don't join my platform for the specific reason that I mentioned.

Irrespective of the outcome here re: sports, I think we can all agree that GoT was a horrible pick.

Except several of us disagree

Seems like we have three options:

1. No live sports, but sports commentary
2. Live sports in a defined series, so multiple people could grab a piece of a sport
3. All games of a league

I think #3 is a no-go. I prefer #2, but think #1 is totally reasonable. Let's give it some time to get solid choices between 1 or 2 and solidify now.
