My take on the Hos: I think if we just let an HoS freelance and pick whoever they want, what is the point of a village? Yes I realize we can point out reasons why so and so is a wolf, but let's face it, the better players are pretty much going to ignore the other players, outside of determining whether or not they are a wolf. I could come up with good cases on people, but I'm pretty sure nothing I say will factor at all into who the HoS picks. I feel like my only goal this game is to clear myself, since any wolfhunting I do will probably just result in a better player going with their own read. If we are voting for who to lynch, at least I have some say in the matter. I don't necessarily blame the better players for going with their own reads, but it sure makes the game unfun for the rest of us. It's like pickup basketball. Sure there are a couple great players, that could probably score each time they had the ball, but they usually spread it out so everyone has a chance to contribute. I'm pretty much never voting for someone like Wahoo because he has already states he's just going to pick whoever he wants.

This is pretty close to a vanilla game. I'm pretty sure no one signed up for this game just so they could let you pick all the lynches.

i just feel like when i signed up for this game it would be something different. honestly if we let well named pick the lynches and my vote didnt count i would find that more entertaining then turning it into a vanilla game.

i can understand you're frustration, but
(1) - not every HoS will agree to just go w/ the majority
(2) - just having the HoS vote w/ the majority every time kind of defeats the purpose of the game.

Even in a vanilla game a lot of people don't listen to anyone else. We still have a chance to make a case that nails a wolf though...

I guess I just wouldn't go into a voting booth not knowing the platform of the candidate. I want to elect someone that agrees with my views.

Since my purple vote is on tighter, that would be my choice. He's also the person I'd most likely lynch as HoS if there wasn't a consensus among the village.

I don't think the game will play out like a vanilla just because the HoS listens to the village. Part of the reason vanilla games have runaway wagons is because people want their vote to count, so they pick the wagon that they think is most likely to be a wolf even if it isn't there biggest wolf lean.

I think in a game like this, people will be more motivated to leave their vote on a person that has only a few votes, since the HoS can go with whoever they want. So if the voting is player a with 5 votes, player b with 5 votes, and player c with 3 votes, the players that feel strongly that player c is the wolf would feel like they are justified in leaving their votes where they are, hoping that it will influence the decision of the HoS. If the HoS has those options but goes with player d who has no votes, that would be like spitting in the face of the village imo. I think in this game, the purple votes will produce much smaller wagons, so the HoS will not just be a ceremonial function.

You didn't say anything about online poker though.

My goal throughout the game is going to nominate someone to HoS that states they are going to kill me, then see if they actually help to kill off villagers who help them get HoS.

Why do people want to kill me when i haven't have time to participate yet?
