you don't need a freezer to buy a pint of ice cream
09-11-2013 , 03:12 AM
My freezer is full of severed heads.

I lost all taste for sweets in the late 90's.

crossnerd,

those health fitness forum guys know their stuff. you can watch videos in their sticky "form check" thread. and read the comments people make about how to correctly squat.

squats are an amazingly good exercise to make really skinny girls look better imo. AND it's not even that hard imo. you only have to do 5 reps! it takes like 30 seconds or less. but those 30 seconds are supposed to be maximum effort. and you have to do it three times.

results vary enormously from person to person. but if you work hard and use proper form, you'll probably notice some results within a month. drastic differences may be impossible or take several months of hard work. but like i said, it really really varies a ton.

i highly recommend it though. it might not be for you, but it's a worth a try. doing 5 reps is so quick and easy.

Thanks filthy! I'm probably going to take y'alls advice and lurk the fitness forum. I won't be posting though, will certainly get loled at

I did just try a short squat video on the youtube, and I dunno.. They were kinda hard yo.. And then I chilled for a bit and then decided to run downstairs for a drink. Lollegs on stairs. Is that what its supposed to feel like? If so, I will have to choose between squats and going up/down stairs..

lol yes. and i should have mentioned that at first you can take it really easy and still be very sore the next day. but your body adjusts. you get less and less sore week after week.

and your legs will be less and less wobbly after you get used to it

It's not just lifting the weights. You'll need protein and rest too. The need for rest makes it slow.

Note: I don't know anything.

The people in h&f do. Spend lots of time reading there. Or read some and interact with them for faster results.

Whats the tastiest protein?

Jeez, you make it so easy sometimes...

edit: also the real answer is that you probably already have more than sufficient protein intake if you eat anything even remotely close to the typical American diet. Talking about and visibly consuming protein is more of a demonstration of being in the in-group of "lifters".

also crossnerd, note that the difference between arse a and arse b almost certainly 99.9% likely has nothing to do with squats.
09-11-2013 , 05:09 AM
my guess is that ass B is genetically blessed, but she also works out a lot.

don't eat:
sugar
wheat
rice
corn
potatoes

do eat:
meat
veggies
eggs
cheese
protein shakes
fruit

drink only water

I figure it's a win-win - $500/mo is better than $0/mo for him, and I have an incentive to find an acceptable roommate quickly because it would reduce my effective rent to $375/mo.

Which brings me to my next question: you guys think it would be morally horrible for me to just walk out of my current rental arrangement, since it's essentially a given that the idiot fratbros won't pursue the matter? My mom seems to think that would be 100% fine. I'm inclined to agree.

Thanks again for listening to me ramble about stuff.
Have you actually talked to someone in charge yet about the bill or are you expecting them to read your mind/pog? How hard is it to go to the vp and say "hey man I think someone made a mistake on my electric bill, there's no way my share is 160. Can we go look at that now"
09-11-2013 , 08:33 AM
Poggers and confrontation, how does it work?
09-11-2013 , 08:39 AM
gfy tbob
09-11-2013 , 08:43 AM
So I'm used to gfy meaning 'good for you' and it's hard to stop that being my instinct whenever people post that. Which leads to weird scenarios where I'm trying to work out whether Moocher is congratulating TBob or sarcastically applauding him, before finally the penny drops.
09-11-2013 , 08:49 AM
All I really read was "tbob" and assumed it was some type of praise.
