Oh what a joyful day. I spent most of the day moving my computer and then cleaning it/changing what files need to be ran at startup in order to make it faster upon boot.

Turns out, I had so much fun disabling stuff, I disabled my keyboard driver.

Lo and behold, I get to run system restore now, completely erasing all the work I did earlier today. Well done son.

my computer got infected with something and it made yahoo take over my homepage and my search engine. i tried to change it, but yahoo wouldn't let me. i even did system restore and it still didn't work. i just gave up and let yahoo win. same thing happened to my brother's computer at the same time.

Alright, I have fixed the drivers. The keyboard shows on the device manager and says "The device is working properly" but I still cant type anything

I wonder if the keyboard works outside of windows. During startup you should be able to press F1 or F2 or Del or something to get into BIOS. If that doesn't work, it's the hardware. If that does work, I'm actually not sure what your next step is. It takes a deal of ingenuity to disable your keyboard.

The keyboard itself works fine, I can plug it into my laptop and use it no prob, a second keyboard in the pc does not work, the keyboard does work fine to enter BIOS
